Hello MTC: did any of you buy your Maverick from Maverick Ford in Gladwin MI?

Who bought your Maverick from Maverick Ford in Gladwin MI?

No, but I went and discussed a purchase. I called and made an appointment for the next day to order it. Got a call before leaving the house January 2024 salesman said that Ford stopped taking orders. So I called my Nephew at Atchinson Ford in Belleville. He thought it was still open called me back a little later and said they were open and suggested a salesman at that location. So I ordered it and once it came in they delivered it to my home.
Ironically the salesman at Maverick Ford called the next day about 2 Maverick's coming in that the owners decided not to take or accept. I told him to late I already ordered one.
Later after the truck came in I called Maverick Ford to see about krown undercoating, they don't do it anymore. So I had it done downstate before taking delivery. So not a fan especially only 18 miles away. For recalls I've taken it to Richardson Ford in Standish. I have an appointment on the 12th for the block heater recall.
Makes me wonder all the previous owners having it undercoated how they feel about it because Krown is done on a yearly basis. Anyhow I haven't been back and not considering it either

That's because Atchinson Ford is a bigger dealer. Ford lets them order more so the smaller dealer wouldn't be able to order one when a bigger dealer could.
If you are looking for a good place to do undercoating I would suggest Premier Auto Restyling. I work at Bill Brown Ford in Livonia, it's who we use and they do a GREAT job! They did my spray in bed liner because the one I got didn't have it from the factory. They are right on Plymouth rd just west of Wayne rd.

Thanks but if you read my post again I had it done downstate. I then went last year to Sheridan just south of Mount Pleasant to have it reapplied.
There is a difference from stopping orders and not having allocation
They probably told the customer they stopped taking orders because of allocation. Why waist someone's time if they won't be able to actually get it? What they should have done is found one to dealer trade. One of my Mavericks came from Roscommon Ford because we didn't have one and I didn't want to wait for an order.
Listen I sold cars for a little over 10 years. He specifically said Ford stopped taking orders. I flat out asked him if it was allocation. He lied to me, I won't be going back or doing business with that dealership.
Edit a single salesperson may or may not represent a dealership. That being said the fact that they stopped Krown rust proofing and leaving past customers in the cold, speaks volumes.
