Lot's of options after searching MTC. Anyone have a solid rec on a really good, reliable AAD? Just got a new Galaxy S22 (Ebay, $500 brand new, factory unlocked, switching to Google Fi to cut phone bill in half) and it connects so well for bluetooth and sits on the wireless charger so I figure a dongle for Dad's Day is the best request.

TMI, I know. But I talk a lot.

Thanks for any recs!

I read some good reviews about AAWireless a couple of weeks ago, and ordered one with a $10 online coupon for Easter. I love it, just be sure to have Bluetooth on and your phone unlocked before you turn on the truck.

I've been using mine for about a year with no problems.

I've had one since the original preorder, and other than it sometimes not liking reconnecting after a short stop or on/off cycle it has been great. I had it in my Focus RS prior to the Maverick, so multiple vehicles with only that complaint.

I have both a Motorola Ma1 and an AA wireless. Zero issues with the MA1.

I've had issues with the aawireless not connecting, needed reset and repaired before, and the wife has a lot of issues with calls not working, call connects but she can't hear the caller.

The MA1 stays in my Maverick, Lol!

I have the Motorola as well. No issues, good quality, and very convenient. Haven't had to touch it since plugging it in and pairing.

If you are leaving it plugged in all of the time, does the dongle draw power from your battery when the truck is shut off? I don't want it to kill my battery.
No.

I bought a Motorola AAD (I have a Motorola phone too) and it always finds and connects to the phone as soon as I get in...and I like that I can stick the AAD disk under the factory USB housing where it's not in the way of anything I may put in the cubby below it. I would assume that Bluetooth is Bluetooth and the AAD should work with any Android phone.

Follow up.
I've now been using the AAWireless adapter in my Maverick for probably 8 months. No issues after updates, which I don't think the Motorola MA1 does.

The AAWireless also works with Apple Carplay, so you don't need two adapters if you switch phones or use both like I do.

AAWireless also has a developer mode which lets you run apps like Fermata Auto and Screen2Auto that google is now blocking on Android 14. Something you can't do with the MA1 adapter.

The ports on the dashboard are switched on and off with the truck. Don't plug the dongle into any aftermarket USB ports you've added (as I did), as the truck display will not 'see' it.
