Where does the engine block heater heating element plug into? The engine block, coolant reservoir oil pan? Thinking about getting it so the truck can get warmer faster and take advantage of the hybrid battery sooner

So, engine block. Oil level. Unfortunately it drains about 1400-1800 watts of energy from wall socket /hour. It takes about 1h to heat engine to warm temperature 70-80F. You need extension cord to 14-12 gauge.

Whoa. Whhhaaat?

Can you share a photo and/or part number?

The one I had on my Escape was 400 watts, and you could get to 80°F to 100°F in about 4 hours.

It went into the engine block to heat the water (coolant) reservoir.

They are installed in place of a freeze plug on the block.
