When does the dealer get the invoice?

My truck is delivering soon and I’ve asked my dealer for the OTD price with X-Plan, but the salesperson said he will give me the price when he gets the invoice. Shouldn’t they have the invoice if my truck was built and is almost the dealership? It seems that this guy doesn’t really know anything

I believe you're correct. IIRC the dealer is invoiced when the window sticker is generated.

That’s what I thought. It’s frustrating when it seems that the customers know more about this process than the dealer.

I think that's the way my whole buying and delivery experience with my dealer went. They were great though, knew I knew my stuff.

He should already know what your X-Plan price is if you told him beforehand you were doing X-Plan. You can go to your X-Plan website and build exactly what you have and it will give you the X-Plan price minus tax.

That's strange that they wouldn't know. I ordered mine, told them exactly what I wanted, they offered me the D plan, i told them I wanted fabric protection, paint protection, rust proofing, windshield treatment, and an extended warranty. I said i calculated it would be xxxxx amount and they quoted me 59 bucks higher because I didn't factor in I had to pay sales tax on the protection package. But I knew what I would be paying right after I ordered.

Yes, the dealer gets the invoice and windowsticker @ the same time. About 7-10 days before the build date.

Where is your DORA from time of order? It will show the price-protected X-Plan price on it.
