Nah, don’t need either, this is literally what I carry everyday.
But remember, I have no immune system to speak of this the CBRN gear. I am a rangemaster and firearms trainer for disabled individuals thus the first aid blowout supplies, Insm a CERT member thus the breaching snd moving supplies and I have a broken back so the wheelchair and CERT command supplies. I never know when I will get a CERT deployment request.
CERT for those that do not know are civilian FEMA people who do Community Emergency Response (team). As I am hazmat, hazwhopper, and explosives ID and removal certified I tend to be in demand in some weird situations. As I can no longer be field deployed (in a wheelchair) I get stuck ( yes stuck because the paperwork sucks) as site commander until relieved.
That's great 👍 I'm very proud of you 💘 and for what you do.

I figure that the public pays me via disability, I should try and give back as much as I possibly can to offset that expenditure where I can.

plus everything I can do, frees up a fully able bodied person to do things only they can do. While not a fair trade, it is something and it gets me out and involved instead of giving up and feeling like a drain on the system

A tree pruner/limb saw?
I use it in place of a chainsaw to collect windfall oaks in the woods for firewood. A little extra work but a lot more satisfying. It can cut through a 6" log super fast, and I've cut through 12" oak before. I also use it to forage firewood (already downed) when camping. It's a great saw!

Just out of curiosity have you looked at electric saws?

Ah... tree limbs. That's a little less disturbing...

Remember that everything that you carry has weight and takes up some of your total load capacity and ultimately reduces your MPG.
It’s still gotta go with me. What good does it to if I am in Augusta and get asked to deploy to savanah to help evacuate the hospitals (happens everytime a bird farts over the Atlantic it seems) I can’t say, let me drive 208 miles to Cedartown and grab my gear I will be back in 8 hours

In my current car I keep my tool bag/box with an assortment of basic tools and an air compressor in the trunk. I plan to moves these to the under-seat storage of my Maverick. I'll probably put my jumper cables, bungie cords, and ratchet straps in the bed cubbies.

Yeah, they are pretty sweet and almost bought one, but then a friend had had Katanaboy while camping and I knew it was the choice for me. It's simple, quiet, and very light so I can carry it on my back to clear trails.
