I traded in my 2022 VW GTI for the Maverick LOBO.
My wife had a 2022 Transit Connect that was our towing and haul vehicle. We needed to tow the dune buggy on occasion. But she didn't like the power of the gutless and noisy normally aspirated 2.0 so last year we decided to get rid of it in favor of a more powerful Hyundai KONA N Line. But it's not rated for towing.
So, I really needed a truck and something that could tow at least 2000 pounds and when I saw the LOBO at a local dealership I had to take a look. Saw it on Saturday and bought it on Monday. It has some similarities to the '22 VW GTI that I traded in.
It's kind of like a MAVERICK GTI.

Replaced 2009 F150 with 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid. About to retire in a year and wanted 40MPG to travel the country .... don't really miss the F150 and it's 14MPG and hard to park.

I purchased a 2025 XL Hybrid with only a few add-ons: SIBL and 2K tow. I have added a few things to it since March, and have a few more things I intend to add, if funds ever become more available. Life seems to be causing me to hemorrhage cash, but I digress.

I had a Ranger right after I got married, 28 years ago to help with renovating our first house. Traded it in on a minivan when child number 2 came along. I had wanted another truck, ever since then.

My Mav replaced a 2017 Kia Sorento with the Turbo 4. I actually liked that vehicle a lot. it was fast, it was nice on the inside and it got okay gas mileage. The turbo and the catalytic converter shit the bed, well after any Covid supply chain issues should have been resolved. I waited 6ish months for the new cat, without a car to drive. Soon after the repairs were completed, the car started to burn oil and the gas mileage started dropping, signaling the need to replace the Kia.

Same thing but in Hot Pepper Red with the FX4 package. A move to the Northeast is in mind so I wanted something with more capability. The first one would've been fine but it was just an excuse to get the color I really wanted more than anything.

It's not replacing anything, just adding more utility to the fleet. Many years ago I had a 94 F-150, my only other truck. My father owned a number of Rangers, a brother had F-100 and F-150s so I'm not totally new to trucks.

My Mav replaces a 1998 Toyota LandCruiser.
I bought the LC from a friend around 4 years ago as a cheap off-road toy, but since I have a few cars and got rid of my last late model "reliable no special steps to drive far" car last summer, the Toyota just worked its way up to the most trouble free and comfy thing to drive if I have to leave town for the day.
But it was starting to have annoying issues like the power windows acting up and other electrical gremilins that I just had no passion for fixing with the other project cars around. So I started shopping for another SUV, but hopefully smaller and quicker. Long story short the Mav got on my radar and here we are.
The Mav isn't the luxury ride on the freeway the Toyota was and the cheap plastic is a little disappointing, but in every other way I love the thing so far.

My '24 Maverick Lariat Hybrid replaced a 2018 Subaru Forester. Before that I drove full-sized pickups. Now that I'm retired I don't need a full-sized truck anymore, and the Maverick is perfect for me. I especially like the safety and convenience features included in the Lariat trim!

That it is, this was my first corvette got it new in 1977. Gave it to my niece. Had it for 48 years. During that time till now I had a 2003 50th anniversary convertible, a 2005 convertible, 2013 60th anniversary convertible and a 2012 Grand Sport convertible. That one I still have.

I replaced a 2008 Ram standard cab with a 2023 Mav eb. The only thing I miss about the old truck was not worrying about dents, dings, and scratches. I did take time getting used to the size change.

A year ago last Feburary I was looking to but a 2011 Corvette and actually had it all ready to go. All I had to do was go test drive it. Was going to be a cash deal at the dealership. Wanted a weekend driver for car shows and such. Well, we got snowed in and just kept looking and my 22 EB 1st Edition Area 51 color popped up with 21k miles so after the snow melt I decided on the Maverick instead of the vette
