Yeah it would, but no biggy! It's not a very big cubby hole. You could probably do something like you're talking about, but I would think the grip will have to stick out some in order to work.

I thought about spare change as well, but the measurements say its 4 inches deep. That would be a pain to reach into to grab that elusive dime. Then I saw this picture of the center console, and it looks to have a tray for change. Not sure if all trims/packages will have it though.Great pictures! I think there's a "step" in the bottom, where the front two inches or so are lower than the back. That would be good for being able keep change or small loose items in there and still grab them easily.
Are you the great cornholio?I'm getting some TP for my dashhole.
Well, since we don't know the exact dimensions of the cubby (Shrine)it may be the perfect spot for an old Ipod MP3 player or a tethered SD Card reader plugged into the USB.. Maybe, just maybe the SYNC system can read JPEG's, MP3's, or even MOV files???? Stream YouTube movies or videos anyone? There is a little cubby next to the infotainment system. It's likely an artifact of not being able to source a widescreen panel for this model year. Oh well.
In my youth, when I drove a cab, every taxi had a "shrine", a little bit of dash reserved for a saint, a prophet, a hockey card, or a picture of a girlfriend. We cabbies called it a shrine, and when you used someone else's cab you didn't mess with the shrine.
The cab I drove had St Joseph because, well, I'd ask my late uncle, but he's dead.
Whattya gonna put in your shrine?

Yep, though I usually just carry a small HT in the car. Sales guy told me that here in Illinois I'll have to have truck plates. So I checked. He was wrong. The ham radio call sign plates are valid for trucks under 8000 lbs. in weight.I haven't seen anyone mention what I am going to do. 1. I plan on putting in a navagation system, since you can't buy one with the truck. I also plan on putting in my Ham radio equipment. I like the location of the hybrid 12 volt battery for that and will put the main part of the radio under the seat while the control head and mike go somewhere on the dash. I will have to do some physical inspection as to where to put the antenna. It needs to be away from the one already on the truck and in a spot where it is easy to mount. This happens every time I switch vehicles. Any other Hams out there?
