Ford Maverick WELP! Now what do I do? 1686841658057

Obviously I'm excited, but this is well past the 2024 ordering time line and don't want to miss out on potentially transitioning to a 2024. Further down it explains this date could move out even later or be dropped entirely depending on production delays. Has this happened to anyone for 2023? Or am I guaranteed a vehicle now that it's in production?

My scheduled for production week changed 3 times. Moved back and forth a couple weeks each time. Once the week did arrive I got the Built email about 10 days later.
End of August, could be September, yeah I'd be asking some questions as well.
Sorry I realize this isn't too helpful.

Now you wait more. Personally, I'd place another order for a 2024 to be safe. Can always cancel it.

Well it would need to be a carry-over from the 2023 for the Ford incentives

What's the point in waiting for a 24? It'll be the same truck.

What incentives?
The Priority code that was given to allow the same pricing as the MY22 that was originally ordered (if Ford does it again for 2024)

I believe that if you got a VIN it is nearly guaranteed to get built. Anybody more knowledgeable that can back me up on this?

I could be saying that just because I got a scheduled July 31st email this morning for my Unicorn!

Yep, XL Hybrid with hitch receiver. I can't believe it.

I figured about Oct. I would be looking for an EB off a lot.

The priority code is for your place in line for the dealer, not for incentives. We got a rebate if our MY22 trucks were not built. Ford has already stated they are not doing it again.

You are lucky and got a production date. Is there a chance it might not get built? Yes, but it likely will. Put an order in for a '24 if you are worried.

Thanks Bob, all of these were my exact assumptions!

You have a VIN. That means you will get a truck. Even if your order is punted to MY24, Ford will have a system to put it near the front of the line. Personally, I think Ford stops all retails orders at the end end of September to give them the flexibility needed to ensure there are no carry over VINs when the model year ends in October.

Got a vin then the vin got cancelled and thankfully got an allocation once 23 orders opened. Used to be correct.

You WANT to wait even longer for a 2024???
Now I've heard it all in here.
If they couldd give me a 2022 NOW I'd take it and be so happy.

No. I am thrilled. I mean I don't want to miss out of a vehicle completely if this build gets dropped and can't be converted to MY24.

sprcoop! I ordered an XL Hybrid with zero options because the hitch had been such a problem for 22's but I got it last Friday and so far so good. Next I'll order one with some of the options I want and trade this one in. For a long time I didn't expect it to even be scheduled either!
