I have full coverage, so hopefully it covers it . Just turned 5000 miles and had scheduled the first oil change for tomorrow morning. I dont think i can wait a year or longer to get another hybrid. The body shop it towed to said due to vehicle prices rising they try to save most vehicles now

Question 1: Is it totaled?
Question 2: If it’s not totaled, how many MONTHS will it take to get the parts needed to fix it?

Looking at the photos provided, I would expect it to be totaled.

Insurance calculations vary, but if the initial repair estimate is around 70% of the value, insurance will start the total loss process.
Repairs commonly have additional bills, called supplements that increase the cost once repairs begin and more/hidden damage is found.
This is even larger with major damage events.

In addition to that, as someone mentioned is parts delays.
That cost is factored in.
Insurance might be on the hook for a longer rental car or even storage fees from the shop while waiting on parts.

Reminds of a worst case scenario when I was an insurance adjuster.
Relatively minor damage to a guys jeep (like a 2010 or something, not really old at the time around 2018).
A critical computer chip module was no longer made from OEM, and no 3rd party companies made it.
Junk yards were not an option, since no warranty and insurance is not sending reps to junk yards to pull parts.
Totaled his jeep.
Guy was super pissed.

@Drkuhar I'm sorry this happened to you and unfortunately I think it will be totaled.

I don't think you'll have to wait another year for a Hybrid XLT.

Heck, check out available Hybrid XLT inventory at Long McArthur
I'm pretty sure they'll cover a portion of shipping. @fordvideoguy or @Sarah Davis can you verify that?

Otherwise check with @Granger Ford to see if they have any allocations left for their $1K under MSRP offer.

You will not have to wait forever for another truck unless you are real fussy about what you want. Go to www.ford.com and start looking, and have the salesman look. Put in 100 mile radius and you should find lots of trucks. Then change the zip code to a city 150 miles away from you and search again. There are a lot of brand new Mavericks out there.

Thanks Tim.
Are you still covering a portion of shipping or is that for custom orders only?

Truck got hit today by person who ran red light. Wiring was smoking, front axle broke, spindle broke, fender door and hood. And who knows what else.
Those that have had wrecks, do you think its totalled

Unfortunately, it's possible that your vehicle is totaled, and even if it's not, it might not drive the same again. However, I'm glad to hear that you're okay. You might want to check out Long McArthur Ford. They currently have Mavericks in stock for MSRP. You could avoid the wait and have a replacement as soon as tomorrow.

If they somehow give you a choice - I'd say move on. By the time it gets fixed....and pay for a rental if you have to...and the depreciation value (though I have seen where an ins co might write you a check for the decreased value) .... it's just terrible.

That looks like its going to pretty expensive to fix, but not totalled. It doesn't look like the airbags are deployed or the A-pillar crushed. It will most certainly need a new transmission and all the suspension components though.

Shit I hope it is totaled. If not it will take forever to fix and never be the same. Wiring, transmission, computer modules, hybrid battery. Maybe if it was a gas one it could be okay but a hybrid it is best it is totaled.
