They sell stuff it’s called water whether it’s supposed to lower the coolant temperature by 20% they sell it at the speed shops, what are your thoughts about the stuff with the turbo maybe getting the turbo to last a little longer with the less heat a little more performance whatever you want starts or has anybody written about this?

Stuff has been around for a long time. I believe it's really intended for a racing application, where you cannot run coolant (so no water pump lubrication or additional benefits) and maybe don't have a thermostat. I think in a street type application, with a good cooling system, and a functioning thermostat, you will see exactly zero benefit, potentially negatives with maybe a compatibility issue with the factory coolant and Redline. But I believe the coolant temp will remain exactly the same, as the thermostat is controlling that.

Water Wetter improves heat transfer from the coolant to the cooling system in marginal applications. Absolutely Zero benefit for a stock Maverick.

I’ve used it in some of my 454 and larger FE Ford motors...

Agree its been around for years and not needed for a Maverick or most other vehicles.
My 2 cents

This is a solution going looking for a problem. Conventional coolant is banned on many race tracks because it's slippery, enter water wetters. This is not new tech!

If you have a actual heating problem it's worth a look, do your research beyond reading a Redline blurb or heaven forbid Amazon reviews talking about computer cooling systems. Redline is but one of many products in the water wetter category. My old Jeep needed it after I installed a built up 302ci V8 and ended up needing annual coolant changes due to gumming reactions to coolant, Redline with water pump lube and water for summer, regular coolant for winter. My Cobra needed help but I went smart with a bigger (thicker 3 core) radiator.

The problem with reducing the surface tension of your coolant is that it reduces it's essential lubricating properties necessary for the water pump, seals etc. There are cases of it reacting badly with some coolants. You choose, but I don't recommend it's use on daily drivers or posting any Redline decals on warrantied vehicles.

It doesn't reduce coolant temperature 20%.

Don't add crap to your coolant system.

I've used it many times in hot rods & race cars that are kept in a heated shop and NOT exposed to freezing temps. It offers ZERO freeze protection over straight water, and should NEVER be used in anything exposed to freezing temps.

There would be no valid reason to use this in any new OEM passenger vehicle application.

It's not meant to be used in place of antifreeze, it can be used with straight distilled water in a race vehicle or in a 50/50 mix in anything with a cooling system. Either way it improves heat transfer. It does not cause compatibility issues with any coolant chemistry. I use it in everything and have for decades. It's good technology. Necessary in a passenger car? Probably not. Makes me feel better in my F-150 towing my 7500 lb camper up a hill on a 100 degree day? Definitely.

First of all, NOTHING will reduce the coolant temperature of your Maverick....

EXCEPT...

Changing your thermostat to a cooler or hotter temperature rated unit.

Water Wetter and those kind of products have their place. Basically deionized water with a bit of soap solution. This causes the cooling water to stick/stay attached to the coolant passage surfaces to collect a wee bit more heat. In race engines it can slightly reduce corrosion over plain water too.

Something I would have run in my 72 Charger 440. It overheated just idling!

I've run it in my drag car for over 20 years. In a vehicle with coolant it will offer zero benefit. It was designed because some tracks will not let you race with coolant in your system, safety issue. Coolant is oil based, water wetter isn't.
