Probably, but I shouldn't have to. Honestly, at this point, I want new padding and carpet because I guarantee it's full of mold underneath. But I'll let them try whatever they think will work. The extent of me doing anything to fix a brand new truck that had a factory defect was more than satisfied by spraying some odor killer on it. I just put a dehumidifier inside the truck just so it doesn't get any worse. I had a change of clothes inside the truck for 4 hours this afternoon. Theyre unwearable due to the smellbaking soda, brush it in, wait, vacuum it out

Possibly the rubber seal was crushed or crumbled when installed. I had a similar issue with an oil seal once, I didn't think it would be a big deal but, yeah it was lol.Update. Dealer had truck for a day and a half. Said the water was getting in from door handle. Apparently the seals were defective. Said they replaced the door handle. Day after I picked up truck we had about 8 inches of rain over 2 days. No water. I guess they fixed it this time.
Hello! Send us a private message with your Maverick's VIN and current mileage. Allow me to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!Drove in a pretty good rain storm the other day. Later that day found the little rectangular "cup" to the left of the back seat on drivers side with about 3/4" of water in it. No wetness anywhere else to be found. It looks like water was forced passed 2 rubber seals at the bottom of the door. Just on the driver's side. Anyone else have this problem?
They asked how it's parked to try and replicate the problem. Parked flat, nose down or up can make a difference. So yea it matters.Update. Dealer has had car since 1/2/24. First call was to tell me they've had water flowing for a while and can't replicate leak. Also asked me where/how car was usually parked. Not sure why that should matter, it shouldn't leak regardless. 2 days later a second call to tell me how much research they've done online and that they're now going to take door panel off again to check the plastic membrane. All stuff I actually printed out and left with truck the previous 2 times it went in for water. No calls yesterday or today. Guess they didn't fix it yet.
