I'm surprised dealerships aren't selling a "door drain maintenance" service for $149.99 every 6 months.

I'm going to counter their offer with a 5 second Q tip maintenance procedure every month and laugh at the thousands of Q tips I can buy for $149.99.

I haven't really noticed that problem, and I live in FL where it rains all the time

Water is supposed to drain from those holes. That’s why the holes are there.
It’s a good thing. Sunroofs also have them.
It’s a good idea to clear those drains on occasion. If they become clogged the water won’t drain. Then you can develop a problem.
Actually, I’m glad this thread was started. It reminded me to check my drains. šŸ˜€

I have to leave the doors open on my Maverick for a few minutes after I go through a car wash so that they drain. Is this normal? Or is there some other way to get the doors to drain without leaving them open for a few minutes while driving down the highway?

There’s a small hole on all four doors for drainage. A Master Ford mechanic told me to push something through them occasionally to make sure they aren’t clogged
