My friend, you're so eloquent with your wording, I couldn't agree with you more.

BTW this stop/start of the engine all the time is nuts, can someone please point me in the direction? Forscan procedure to disable this behavior, I can't have another device plugged in to the obd port, I have a device already there from my insurance company.
Here you go. . . .

I disabled it it on my wife's Edge, it was driving her crazy. My Maverick is a hybrid.

I’ve got a 23 Eco Boost and one thing I hate with a passion is the fact that the auto stop feature has to be deactivated every single time you start the engine.
Well anyway, the engine turns off at every stoplight and 3 point turnaround unless deactivated so you wouldn’t have any choice as far as warmup or cooldowns anyway.
If you let it go to sleep mode start stop doesn’t work.

I saw a vidya where if you have a specific Kenny Loggins song playing you can land a Maverick on an aircraft carrier.

Thought of that takes my breath away!
Been there did that (in a T-28) Kind of like your 1st whoopie & a train wreck all at once.

Cool down not needed. My habit for start up is to wait until it comes off high idle (~1200 rpm) down to the regular idle (~750 rpm). In +60F this only takes maybe 20 seconds. During winter it takes 2-3 minutes.

I thought it was the F-16 that needed the right music to drop bombs on target?
