How long is the bed? 30 inches? 🤔🤔
In the single cab, it’s just under 6 feet. With the 4-door, it’s 6 feet if you include utilizing the passthrough. So the bed itself is small. I’m not sure if they’ll have the 2-door in the states.

yeah, I know; I'm a weirdo.

These days most pickup sales are to people who use them as commuter cars and rarely have anything in the bed. The bed getting shorter and shorter every model update bothers them none. A 1-2' bed would suit most pickup buyers just fine.

Another thing, the poll here showed that the majority of forum members ARE old geezers...heck, I even removed my rear seat to make a larger cargo space with a platform in it's place.
I resemble that remark. I'm an old geezer, but I use it for work. And my truck bed is full of my tools and parts.

same.
I do scenic design and construction for live theater.
Most of the large pieces are made at our shop and transported via large moving trucks to the sites. I used to use my Transit(not Connect) and transport a lot of it in that, but found it's easier to just use big box trucks as intended. Plywood or 10' boards are about the biggest thing I need to go fetch myself anymore, and the Maverick does those just fine. My personal tools go in the space formerly occupied by the back seat (I did a seat delete and put in a platform). My point being that we're a rare breed who actually use the pickup bed, but that doesn't mean that EVERYONE does, in fact, very few pickup owners use the bed regularly.

It wouldn't kill Ford to offer a 2 door. Heck, they could even call it Ranchero if they wanted lol
Not when Ford just renewed the trademark.

Ford produced 508,355 Rancheros over a 22 year run. I bet the Board would love to invest a couple billion on those sales numbers 😂 . To put it in perspective they sold 686,000 65 titled Mustangs. And have to date 591,000 Maverick trucks. I think they learned a 2 door doesn't sell as well in a car/truck variant.
