I just secured a HPR Lariat hybrid. Just know I'm not copying you when my bronze wheels from my CG get installed! 🤣
I was afraid you weren’t going to go for Maverick #3
Welcome to the HPR (and 3 Mavericks) club
It is the best color

An attempt was made, luckily I have a second set of speaker grills
Plan didn’t go as I’d hoped…. Figured I could just use a heat gun to deform the grills to go over the tweeters
Which technically they did but the covers a bowed a bit and look terrible up close
First time using a heat gun trying to reform some plastic
So I’ll leave them in for now, maybe I’ll have a better idea for the other set of grills

A) I don't think thats bad at all

but

B) could you take the grills off the hertz to make them slightly lower profile?

I did not want to risk breaking them
The grills are not supposed to be removable (at least easily)
Still contemplating what I’m going to do about them

Everything ive seen says the you shouldn't remove the grilles from Hertz tweeters. There is material that is part of the grille surround and removing it damages the tweeter.

did you eliminate the light or just cover it with paint? How does it look at on if it wasnt eliminated?
No idea, I would guess the light output would be greatly diminished
My wife’s Bronco Sport I did differently and the light shines a bit around the edges, not enough to be seen while driving…. I just haven’t gotten around to removing the bulbs from hers
