Atleast some of you got loaners, I’ve been driving on a bad cv axle for 2,000 miles while I wait for the new one to arrive. Dealer said it’s safe and won’t give a loaner. If it fails and I total it, that’s on them.

Complaint is filed, hope this helps someone else. I think Ford should issue a recall and redesign this part so it can handle the torque. My guess is they knew it was an issue and chose not to do anything. I bet the 2025 has a different axle in it. I am not sure the way it stutters and rumbles it will not cause an accident but the dealer said keep motoring so....it will be on them.

Please submit a report if you have this same issue.!!

Truck will finally be fixed tomorrow, after being at the dealer for a month.

Pauly,

Not sure where you are in the mileage game but unless they redesigned the axle you will be doing it again, that is why I filed with NHTSA to have a record of the issue……

Now the truck has detected a power train malfunction and put me in reduced power mode. Dealership is useless and now I have contacted Ford Motor company to file a complaint!
800-392-3673 should you need to file with Ford!

I was experiencing the same thing as everyone else. A slight vibration when accelerating. They replaced both CV axles this morning under warranty. I only have 20K miles on it in 2 years drive time.

I didn't think to ask at the dealership, but does anyone know if this is a one shot deal? Will they replace them again if they fail again in another 20K miles. I have the extended warranty so I think it would be covered, but could be wrong.

The new half-shafts have been redesigned, are beefier and should last a long time. Pitiful that the original ones were so cheaply made that they don't last.

5 years/60k coverage under the powertrain warranty.

Having the same issue. 2022 XLT with 32k miles.

Made an appt at the dealership.

Show up and he says I have to leave it 2-4 business days to be diagnosed and if I wanted a loaner there’s a 1.5-2 month wait. If that’s no good for me I’m welcome to call around and find someone that can do it for less but he says its pretty much the same everywhere as he knows.

So basically to drive with this (dangerous?!) issue for another month and a half?!

Are you kidding me @Ford Motor Company

Vibration in the front end while accelerating
I just had my 22 XLT hybrid in for that exact reason: 44,000 miles. I was told Tires, so I had a set put on. However, the Vibration was still there. It turned out to be the Right Front Axle. I had a one-day service: $1,000.00 for the tires and $00.00 for the Axle.

After reviewing many of the previous posts, if it is tires, that is on you to pay for. If it is the shafts then it is covered. Rhe new shafts are upgraded/better.

Make an appt, get it checked and give them a good description of whst is happening and when...that helps but they will probably need to test drive it.

Cheers,

Andy

Whoops, double checked your location as US, Iwas thinking Kilometers.

They might cover your truck as you are past 3 years, 36,000 miles...someone may answer here that knows for sure...I would hope yours is covered but you still need to get it checked to confirm issue and if covered.

Sorry for my confusion.
