Just got back from dealer! brought my Maverick in 2nd time for vibration that emulates thru steering, when normal driving and just giving slight gas to pedal.
was told by dealer that that the vibration was normal. They said it`s part of fuel management theory! vehicle is in 6th gear at that speed for fuel savings. And nothing could be done to change it. Am I nuts and the only person feeling this most annoying effect? I thought about looking for a tune that I could reprogram shift speeds to compensate or just sell the truck.
please tell me I`m the one feeling this.
I've only had my eco xlt fx4 lux since Feb 10th. So just shy of 1 month and am just shy of 1k miles on it... I do kinda feel some vibration but it is very minor and always around the same speed and the same type of acceleration.... when going 40mph. And I give just very slight gas for acceleration. I get a slight and I mean very slight vibration...once it gets to 45 or so then it gets to a different gear and then it disappears.... But if I'm accelerating hard.. Then nothing...
What it makes me think of is a stick shift... And u slowed down.. Then when to accelerate but didn't shift into a lower gear so let's say ur in a 6 speed manual and ur still moving after slowing down and the light changes to green and ur in 4th gear... And go to accelerate in 4th... But ur going just a tad to slow for that gear... And u get a little vibration till ur up to a better speed for that gear... That what it makes me think of... But it doesn't realy bother me...

Hello, I have a service appointment next week at my Ford Dealership for the same thing. It's very annoying. I hope it's not an axle like folks have mentioned in the club. We shall see 🙈 🙈

I had this same problem, of a slight vibration at lower speeds and lower RPM. I switched to premium fuel and the problem has been solved. It took about two tank fulls to clean it up. Expensive fix but it worked.

I am also having the same problem with my 2024 ecoboost. The truck will produce a low rumbling noise and large annoying vibrations under 1500 rpm with slight throttle input.

Have you continued to use premium only fuel?

Yes I continue to use only premium fuel. The vibration problem at lower rpm's has been solved for me.

Hi,
I have the same thing happening with my Maverick Lariat, found out the vibrations do not occur when the trany is in trailer mode or sports mode. Happens in all other modes. Must be a gearing thing? Please post if you hear anything from Ford.

Hi Ford person,
I have the same problem, looks like two cases need investigating.

@Burgman the Ford Motor Company account does not monitor this forum anymore per a post from them 12/30/24.
Their profile indicates they last visited 1/3/25.

Still am I alone in this? Does anyone else feel this?
Hi,
Yes I have the same issue during slight acceleration I get a definite vibration in my steering wheel. My dealer said they all do it and returned my vehicle. I am definitely worried about the truck leaving me stranded on the side of the road. Some web Ford guy(Seth) said he would help me but just told me to take it back to the dealer. I am one very frustrated Ford owner.

@Burgman it's probably your CV axles. Take your Maverick to a different dealership and ask to have your CV axles inspected due to front end vibration that can be felt in the steering wheel.
