Just had a friend stop in with his just received new Hybrid Lariat in red! Very nice!! I checked and even though his was built in September, which is way past the "February--June" recall dates that the same grill shutters are missing as the ones we removed for the recall modification.. Also had a large hole drilled in the engine cover underneath and could tell it was an aftermath cut hole. Very interesting indeed!! Closes some questions but may open others. Bill

You would have thought they would have redesigned the panel by now............................

I can tell you my 2 Sep build under-panel was not "drilled". It looks very factory OEM. There is one large hole and several smaller holes. The large hole looks as though it may originally been intended to be an access panel to something (Oil Filter?). I haven't crawled under to see what is above.

As far as the shutters, as far as I can tell, only one upper and one lower are missing.

The holes are the new design, the gap in the AGS array is the new design. What exactly were you expecting??
