Yep I use one very similar. Have for years. It really does seem to make a difference on the rust. Especially in the rust belt.
It takes a ton of time to get all the stuff off.
Also very common for people to get a sprinkler and leave it on under the vehicle all night. Amazing amount of debris will be left on the driveway.

As for engine bay. I used my normal power washer. Put a bit of dish soap on the valve cover. Spray let sit then blast off. Keep it under 2k psi and wide spray wand.
Make sure to use a bunch of water InThe hood openings to get the salt out.

I have similar setup that I use on my vehicles except the Mav. I’m concerned that the water pressure, even on a wide fan, will “fur up” the fabric undercarriage and wheel well covers. Therefore, I simply use SaltAway and my one gallon pump sprayer to remove all the undercarriage salt. Two gallons of mixture thoroughly covers the whole truck. Even provides corrosion protection. Works really well and doesn’t risk destroying the fabric undercarriage covers.

Great for southern climes but up here it can tend to wash off the Woolwax undercoating which is a big no no.

When spring arrive here in about 3 months a nice drive in the rain and call it a day.

I’ll point out these sprayers don’t have nearly enough pressure to ruin the felt under panels or wash off any coating. It’s very mild. I have done it for years here in Michigan soft panels are still going strong after 280k miles on my edge.

You Wil be shocked at the amount of dirt and salt will be left on your driveway after using one of these for about 20-30 min. Even after a few heavy rain drives.
I highly recommend these especially for our rust belt northern areas.

IMHO the problem with that attachment is that you can't necessarily see what you're washing while you're washing it.

As long as I still have the mobility to do it, I'll just put on crappy clothes, drive the truck up on ramps (and/or use jack stands), and use the pressure washer wand I already have.

I use one similar to it for washing the underside of my vehicles during winter with my pressure washer.

Its all about how much water you can get up into the machinery. Big puddles, I've certainly done that in the spring when the road is flooded with a couple of inches and I could certainly see the sprinkler for the Mav since its up a bit higher than most cars. I may just get an extra wand for the end of my pressure washer with a right angle. Amz has many of those.
Isn't it more about the volume of water than the pressure anyway.

I just pull the vehicle up on 4 ramps in the driveway, douche it down with Simple Green mixture, wait 20 minutes or so and rinse it down with a garden sprayer, or use a pressure washer for more stubborn material like mud.

This looks like a pretty good solution if you're unable to lie on your back under the truck and take your time like I do though.

I guess i should "recall" my concern about the engine bay. I forgot about the shield under the engine.
