I second that emotion. My dealer notified me my truck had arrived and I notified both verbally and by e-mail I wanted nothing on that truck I did not specifically ordered including dealer badging. I told him I would accept a license holder badged with his dealership. It went out the door clean as a whistle.

It just not get any better than this. My wife’s 23 Lariat Hybrid arrived at dealer and was picked up last week. MSRP $35,545, including transportation. Has Lux, CP360, 360 Assist, D Link Bed Connectors. Dropped SIBL and it got scheduled the next week, so having that done at RinoLiner. Here is where the deal gets sweet. We traded in her 23 XLT Hybrid that had Lux, CP360 and DIBL. She had driven it 7 months and had almost 6K miles on it. MSRP was $28,435. We did add tint, tailgate letters, and a few other small items. After TTL, etc. we paid right at $31K. Dealer gave us $34,000 trade in. When we took off the $500 Farm Bureau discount, it left a whopping difference of $835.00. Total sales tax was a huge $52.04. By the time we added the $150 doc fee, tags, and various other state things, the total amount OTD difference was $1,222.00. Just to think we almost sold it a month ago to Carvana for $32,250. Doing the trade saved us over $3,600 in tax and value of trade. Already had Truxedo X15 cover, tailgate lettering, sill plate protectors, console tray and glove box organizer. Cover, trays, etc. from trade. Sales Manager said the sold the trade the next day. That is it. No more new Mavericks. We both have Lariat Hybrids and we are where we want to be.

I took my sticker and license plate frame off on the lot. I feel the same as well. If you want me to advertise, you better give me one hell of a deal…
I paid invoice for my 2023 XLT Hybrid, plus $175 dealer fee. That earned Van Bortel Ford a permanent plate frame, IMHO (they don't use stickers or nameplates). BTW, I've often wondered how many people with this same anti-dealer advertising rant have gone to the trouble of removing that little red tag from their Levi's...

I probably would have left the dealership plate frames on except they were pink. No thanks.

I do not worry about those who have to say something negative. I know they are smarter than me, know more about car deals than me, etc. After all, this one makes only 103 new vehicles I have bought for myself, family and business. I bought my first new one 57 years ago, so I am not quite as experienced as some of these guys, but maybe I will get that smart before I die. Last time I checked, every new vehicle I have bought has either a dealer emblem on the back, a dealer name on the license plate bracket and/or a dealer logo emblem on the front until the tags come in. I was treated well and GLADLY advertise my dealers. The only area I may be smarter than those who reply is that I HAVE SENSE ENOUGH TO FIND AN HONEST DEALER, AND THEY DO NOT. Thanks for the support my friend.
I don't see one negative thing said previously. In fact most of the post said nice truck, great deal AND then added the sticker does not do the truck any favors. Everyone was simply pointing out that dealership stickers serve no purpose other than free advertising, not to mention they are an eyesore. I think most of the replies were simply suggesting you remove that sticker ASAP.
I would not have allowed a dealership to put a sticker on my car but if they did I would have ripped that sticker off the minute I got home. When I got mine they added their license plate frames to the truck so I took those off immediately.
Getting the stickers off as soon as possible is ideal. But with a hair dryer and some patience they usually aren't too difficult to remove.

I have to admit, I'm surprised how sensitive you're being over this. No one said anything negative. But if you like the sticker on your truck then that's cool with me. (y)

I did a similar story. Pretty frustrating last year waiting for my '22 XLT I wanted to make some changes and they wouldn't let me so I ordered a Lariat because I could. Got converted to a '23 and it came in this February. Then the Lariat came in in April and I traded in the XLT for $2k more than I paid for it and the taxes were just for the difference. Like yours.

Looks great and a great deal! I was sort of feeling like I had been ripped off but then I thought yours probably didn’t have 28k miles. I ended up with only a $152 sales tax bill and a total out of pocket $2432. My trade in was $682 less than the MSRP.
These times are weird

You played the lottery, and what the value of a maverick was really worth… I bet you I can do that with my 2022 now.. probably is what’s going to happen with the 2023 and the 2024’s

however, by the time I trade it in on an order of the 2024, not sure what the value of a 2022 or 2023 would be by then when it comes in how long did you wait for your 2024?
so what gave you the confidence in things you need to get that my kind of money on your trade

Good deal, but I saw that dealership decal on the tailgate and felt my fingers curl in rage. If I'm paying your business tens of thousands of dollars from a product, get your goddamn logo off of it. I hate being a billboard for a dealership. Shit like that annoys me almost as much as the people stupid enough to donate money to their old colleges.
My dealer put a hitch cover on mine, so I'm ok with that. Line-x put a sticker on the back window and that came off immediately.
