Turning off seatbelt confirmation w/Forscan: anyone done it on a '24?

I've had mine 4 days and already I'm tired of pressing 'OK' to clear the seatbelt prompt...I have an OBD cable arriving tomorrow and am already hoping that this in tucked away somewhere that I can disable it. Don't get me wrong, I ALWAYS wear a seatbelt but having to press OK to clear the display is pointless to me.

Was only able to disable the chime, but not the display / OK prompt (on my '23). Was hoping they'd 'fix' it on the '24s. Very annoying.

Get a 6.5" cluster from a lariat or escape hybrid. I found one from a 2021 escape hybrid on ebay for $80, worth every penny to get rid of that obnoxious "Press OK". But be sure to get one with mileage less than you have because forscan can only increase it on a swapped cluster.

I have <100 miles on it so a cluster swap would have to wait. I should have the OBD scanner cable today so I can poke around a bit, too. Thanks for tip!

JX77, I have a Lariat. Is this the warning that's displayed in the instrument cluster even after you have fastened your seatbelt?

If so, where did you disable the warning? Was it thru the cluster via the steering wheel, or thru the infotainment center settings?

I've looked thru both but must have missed it.

The setup I have is a cluster from a 2021 escape hybrid that I copied over the forscan ipc from a 23' maverick lariat. Also, I did the little dance of disabling the warning for driver and passenger belt minder where you plug and unplug the belts a few times. I can't remember the procedure for that but I know it's different between model years, not sure on the 24'. They could have changed the firmware in the 23' or 24' clusters?

When I turn the key it only shows "Ready to drive" and that disappears once I put it in drive.

Ok, thanks! I did see the procedure for disabling the chime in the manual. Plug and unplug the seatbelt while pulling your earlobe, etc.

I didn't see an option to disable the pop up screen notice though. Your's must have been taken care of when you did your conversion.

Oh well, I can live with it. Thought if it was a box I could uncheck in the menu easy enough I'd do it.

That may be true, but you can't change the drive modes until you get rid of the friggin' nag screen.

The weather's going to be conducive to fooling around with FORscan on Sunday and I'm gonna try this: the video's in German but the subtitles are in English. Looks easy enough...

UPDATE: of course, events conspired against me and I didn't get the chance to try out the procedure...but I did get the mudguards installed (which was a bit more involved than the instructions would have one believe), so progress was made...just not with this task.
