My XL has a button I can press to switch the screen display to clock-only or completely black. Is the XLT different?

Nope!the button gives no information at all about what it does, just like most of the rest of the buttons on the truck!a button should say a little something like off,on,brightness, volume you get the idea.but no,i guess you are supposed to learn what all the buttons do!74 old fart doesn’t have time for that!

You could, read the manual... I mean it's in there.

It’s in there sure. 2 sentences somewhere. Many times I find this forum more useful than the “manual” however. The “calm screen” button was a mystery until the forum told me. Use it occasionally now. Thank you forum!

Don't worry most people under 25 years of age, don't know how to read OR write "Cursive" either.
Everything these days is all "Pictorial", kind a like "Egyptian Hieroglyphics" ..
You have to test each one out... (poke and hope) :ROFLMAO:

Don't be afraid to just press some of the buttons to see what they do.

Well - except the squid launcher.
Don't press that one!

Sure, if you look at it this way. You were complaining that there were so many buttons you didn't understand, so if you read the manual you'd know them all by now. :p

Maybe you’ve mistaken me for the OP? I drive a buttonless 2025.
Ya - I thought they had cuff-links, much better than buttons.

What nonsense is that of which you speak?! I much prefer to own a car for 10 years and not know half the features it has. Better yet, ask a mechanic to do something. Since they know how to do something specific on 1 of 100 different models you touch every year.
