How do I adjust the top to stop these water puddles from forming?

You can pull each side tighter on the Velcro. But unless you park on slight slope one direction or another you will always have some pooling.

I have two of these and have never seen water in the bed. (Other than a very small trickle at the corners.). Nothing that would cause a concern.

Do you have the foam gaskets installed at each end of the rails? It looks loose...

Also, you have the gasket at the tailgate pinched. It should rest on the top of the tailgate, not folded under.

Yeah, mine won’t latch closed if the tailgate is already closed.

Are you still having that problem?
I just installed mine and am having the same issue.
I fiddled with it, for longer than I should have, and finally concluded the rail is flexing down enough such that the latch ends up being too far below the height of the tailgate. It seems to be flexing because there isn’t enough bed cap/flange at that part. I temporarily jammed something in there, to prove out the theory.
Stinks, because I like the cover.
