Do you pick up kids from school and are you one of those crazy people like my wife that waits for an hour to avoid waiting for 10 minutes?
In the military they call that "Hurry up and wait"

Or, as the great Ricky Bobby says:

"If you aint first, you're last!"

It could be a daylight saving thing. Clock set back gave you an extra hour.
Nope...

The truck was in service for the charging system software update, allegedly at least; dropped off @0730 and picked up @1630. The software update took some time, roughly 45 minutes. My guess is that the system includes the engine run time as well to calculate the mileage and as such, the mileage displayed was off by about 6 mpg. When I left the dealer, the mileage shown was 10.x mpg and got to 12.8 mpg by the time the picture was taken. As of today, it is back to the "normal" of 16 - 17 mpg.

I did not know that the accessory mode advances the measured engine run time. Evidently some of the people responding did not know that either. It did not stop them from having some fun, good for them...

Well, this was the worst game show EVER! Nobody won.

Do we at least get some nice parting gifts?

One of those wooden Maverick keychains I've seen sold on here would do.

I drive in sport most of the time too
Averging 30 mpg on my Ecoboost 4k tow.

I hope somebody on here gives you the answer! My instrument panel has a mind of its own. Sometimes it shows me the digital speedo. Sometimes it shows me some other information. Lately it is showing me a photo of my silver Maverick. On my Dad's new 1947 Ford, I understood every gauge on the dash. Both of them. The speedometer and the clock.
I remember when I controlled the truck, not the other way around. My Maverick is sorta like my cat.

I disagree, since my Maverick does not have a key. ;):ROFLMAO:
Close to an hour difference between the morning and early evening engine hour messed up the mileage. The EB 2.0's mileage isn't great in my case, due to the frequent short distance driving, but 10-12 mpg is extreme.

I may get a hybrid in the spring, but it will not be a Maverick...
If my EB goes under 30mpg avg I feel bad, I have a FWD. Tires, transmission or driving conditions?

It wasn't my intent to drive you crazy, but... That's what my EB2.0 does, it's not like these images are edited/modified in any ways. The displayed mileage is pretty accurate, the calculated mileage after refilling the gas tank is 16.03mpg.

Michelin tires on 18" rims, in city driving 99% of the times, with 1-3 miles each ways; some of you have longer driveway than that. About the same percentage times the RPM seldom reaches 2K. Keep in mind the closest town is about a mile away from me. Within three miles, I can reach three towns around my town. Long Island Sound is the only reason I cannot reach the fourth town around me within this distance. Most of the times the engine does not even warm up fully, when the destination reached; by the time I get back to the truck, the engine is pretty much cold already. The truck has been on the highway, maybe a dozen times for short distances, around 6 - 8 miles. In roughly ten month, the truck has less than 2,700 miles on it.

Under these circumstances, the mileage is what it is. I don't believe that there's anything wrong with the EB2.0. The mileage would increase, if the truck is driven 20-40 miles each ways, especially if the majority of it on the highway.
