Sorry this isn't amore detailed post. We are at about 34 hours without sleep. Here is a picture of us taking a nap by the DesMoines River while we wait for our appointment at American Toppers DesMoines to install our ARE MX topper. Many more pictures to come, I just need to drive 4 hours to a bed then use it for a little bit first.

:ROFLMAO: I am an old soul lol. But I was raised by parents that were too old to go to Vietnam so that makes a bit of a difference. I also have a time machine and am FROM the late 70s! While I am sure the other Mavericks are great, this Tremor is soo cool. It has stuff I didnt think it would. Like power locking tailgate on a regular XLT and the door sill keypad. Even without the topper its super spacious and useful. Even though it is covered in bugs the HPR paint is beautiful. I havent got past the break-in 1000 yet and thus have not experienced anything above 3/4 throttle but it is nice and sporty feeling for any truck or suv. I think anybody who drives one for a couple days would love it. Also the really awesome thing is that we fit in it. I am tallish, wide, and have alot behind me and I just slip right into the truck. Not like every other newer vehicle that I have to plan and crane into. Plus 3 bigger folks have ridden in the rear so far with zero complaints. I just wish I had 2 of em. One for me and one for my wife. Maybe in a few years we will get a used ST.

That topper actually looks really sweet, I was worried about getting a topper as I primarily want to transport bikes but can you show a few pics of the interior of it?

I will get some more pics up soon. My wife is photo gatekeeper and I am waiting on a photo dump from her. It's unfinished as in it's the raw fiberglass. Not horrible but could use a lil sanding. Took it on a ferry ride in Galveston today. We have just been putting miles down like crazy on it. Hopefully we will get to do some offroading soon. It has been a blast on the Texas highways. Top speed has been 96mph while passing. The top did fine, also did a car wash today and got a lil water in the bed from spraying high pressure into the gap by the top of the cab. Not a ton considering the pressure.

Lookin' good Shane! Great move on getting the windoor. I really could have used that over the weekend. Just got back from 2 nights tent camping in the West Virginia backwoods, at the crest of the Appalachians. It's like an arms race for rednecks out there. F-250's, duallys and 5th wheel travel trailers. There were a few tent campers at least, haha. Cool rain and no heat to speak of.

Somehow your fiberglass looks more finished too. Not as spikey. The monsoons finally returned and I have to say, the MX didn't leak so bad. Not nearly as much as my garden hose test. Still, I'm considering putting this Clear Paint Protection Vinyl Film over the top of the gap. Cheers!

That's not a bad idea with the film. The top is just kinda rough inside, and honestly overall finish inside is a bit rough as I notice it more. Their carpet option would have hid most things. It's still plenty worth it. That Windsor is awesome. Easy to grab stuff in the front. Overall we love it for road tripping. Can't wait to see how it works for our island life.

Good morning everybody. We are still cruising along. In the last few days we left my dad's place in McAllen TX on a Sunday night, drove the entire Tex/Mex border that night and made it to Carlsbad caverns by 9am. The average temperature through the night was about 100 degrees. It went down to 80 around 2am for about 20 min. The high of the night was 106 in west Texas at dawn. We got the chance to cool off down there before heading up to see what really happened in Roswell. I will give you a hint that town is crawling with aliens. Stayed the night in the high desert and made our way to Durango yesterday. Very beautiful backroads drive. Today we are off to Moab, but not before a hot spring visit and a short mountain trail run. Just wanted to give y'all updates, I will put this all together much better once we are back on our island.

Little update here. We are relaxing from a long day of wheeling at Moab. We took it up Gemini Bridges road and came down Long Canyon Rd. Gemini only had about 3 spots that required any careful driving. The first one I did without any of the traction aides. Get to a uphill teeter totter and rolled it back a couple feet then gave it the beans and it sorted it out itself, no modes no nothing. Other obstacles I used a mix of of 4wd lock and rear lock. Just to make things nice and easy. I never rubbed and even tried a couple side obstacles for fun. Some things I did the hard way to test it and it just cleared things left and right. The ride was a lil rough on washboards above 35 mph but almost every other stock rig would be too. The shocks really impressed me, springs too. I drove it a bit harder than I should have at times and it never bottomed out or hit too hard.

50 miles of Moab dirt and rocks wasn't our only off-road. Yesterday we were 11,000ft up in the Cumberland Mountain basin outside of Durango CO. That was a lot of climbing and climbing of loose rocky gravel. There were some ruts and a bunch of speedbump/run-off guides that tested the Tremors angles. Lightly touched plastic rear bumper a time or 2. The truck never complained once. Either day. We love this thing.

I have a bunch of pictures and video, but they are all still on my wife's phone. Hopefully in the next couple days I will get them on here. I have couple from the top of the mountain that will have to do till then.

Also saw a really nice Atlas Blue FX4 with 245/65r17s near the bottom of the trail in the mountains yesterday. Left you a magnet with my face on it it hope ya don't mind. Wish we could have met ya.

We're having a lot fun. Almost done with the offroading portion of our trip. Tomorrow we are going to do Sand Flats Rd and see if we can dip our toes in some of the tricky stuff at Fins n Things. After that we are gonna go see meteor Crater and stand on a corner in Winslow AZ. Hopefully by next weekend I can get access to all our photos and videos and do a nice long detailed post.

I'm so happy that you finally got your Maverick, it looks great! I love the epic two week road trip and pictures, keep them coming!
I definitely recommend getting two, his and hers. We were lucky enough to get our name on a dealer inventory Mav last summer, then my 2023 was an early build. My wife's is a FX4 and which allowed me to lower mine, for that ST look 😁

That would be awesome! Gotta pay off this one and build a garage expansion for it too. Will have to share for now. Hopefully this weekend I can get all the photos off my wifes Iphone, we have alot of video aswell. The truck should be loaded on the boat soon. Cant wait for it to get home here and set it up for our island life. Also gonna do some comparisons between it and our 93 ZJ and 96 Bronco.
