Tremor road trip begins!

Nah we are driving to San Diego to put on a boat. First we have to go up to Wisconsin, then follow the Mighty Miss all the way to the bayou, head for the border to visit my dad in McAllen, then head west to the mountains to find some canyons. Within 2 weeks time we will be enjoying a sunset in the cliffs in Ocean Beach CA.

I used a coupon for the voyage too!! For real though Pasha donated 2 passages to a freinds Hula fundraiser silent auction and I won the auction for $850! Road one did get me for $240 storage fee though.

You saved a lot… you know I’m thinking I’m going to stay on another island other than Oahu for a month and ship it over on Young brothers. They charge you 400+ one way and then 100+ the other way. It’s cheaper than a rental car.

Its always smart to make the best of where it is when it is. We could have had it shipped from Iowa straight here, might have been here already even. Instead we did one of those trip of a lifetime type adventures. Would have cost thousands in a crappy rental. Now I gotta convince my sister to drive her Jeep and Razr to Moab from Ohio so I can fly over and go wheeling some more in the canyon.

I know, I know, it's been a busy couple weeks catching everything up at home. My weekend starts tomorrow so I will see if I can't get my wife to load everything on our hard drive so I can access them. Everything she has is apple (just the worst for communication between devices). I may have a few more that she emailed me I will put on here.

A) over 525 days since my initial order and another 40ish days until my Mav is scheduled to be built... It'll be over 600 days by the time I take delivery, so my patience level has been reshaped and improved upon in this process.
B) he's in HI, so he's pretty safe should my patience wear thin

And always remember to bring your lady flowers from the highest mountain! There was also a lil ring there too. We are already married but it's always fun to propose again unexpectedly after driving 11,000ft up to see some snow!

Awesome! Looks like you made it up to the La Sal Mts? Never been up there even though I've camped around Moab 4-5 times. So much to see and do out there.

Happy to report the on the ARE MX water topic. The 3M PPF over the gap is working out well after 3 weeks. If it lasts a year I'll be happy. 4"x60" for 15 bucks. It's got some good elasticity. No fogging or water coming in after some very heavy flooding downpours. I also have the tailgate sides sealed which helped a lot as well.

Nice! I will have to check that out. We just formed the footings today for a 20x16 carport just for the Maverick. Hopefully we will have it done by the time it gets here. We did go up Sand Flats Road towards La Sal Mountain but we didnt go up to the mountain itself. The mountain scape photos are just west of Durango between Snowstorm Peak and Cumberland Mountain. Somebody was camping or hiking up there in a Blue FX4 but I didnt find the owner. It was a ton of fun and the Tremor handled it all with the greatest of ease. Even when I would forget to use the traction aids it just took a half second and then sorted it out and moved forward. The ride offroad was totally pleasant too.
