Tremor package now a constraint?

For the first time since placing my order, I called my dealer to see if they had any insight to when my XLT Tremor would get scheduled. They informed me that both the Tremor package and the XLT Lux package were now constraint items and would likely result in my configuration not being scheduled for a while.

This is not something I have seen mentioned in the forums on any of the weekly constraint items lists. Has anyone else heard this?

if they planned on building 8% and 10% were ordered, it would be constrained.

Semantics. It's still a constraint meaning that only 8% of Mavericks scheduled will be Tremors. You add an XLT Lux package (such as my unscheduled Tremor has) and the odds it gets scheduled are even lower. In theory, since the take rate has been reported at less than 8%, all of the current orders will get scheduled. We will see.

Except it’s not semantics at all. You’re using the word wrong especially in context to this order system. Telling someone on here the tremor is constrained leads them to believe it’s over ordered, not under ordered.

My dealership told me the day I placed the order that both the Tremor Package and the XLT Lux Package were a "constraint" and that ordering these options could result in my truck taking longer to schedule or not get built at all. All of the official Ford "Constraint Lists" posted all over this forum call them "constraints".

Except it’s not semantics at all. You’re using the word wrong.

He is using the word exactly how Ford uses it. If you feel it is being misused or misapplied, let Ford know that they should have more variety in how they label things that are hard to get (or self-limited by Ford intentionally, like the Tremor at 8% production).

Who knows, but if 25% of the proposed 8% were ordered then perhaps only 25% of the 8% will actually be scheduled to even out scheduling or production. I have a lariat tremor with the full tremor pkgs ordered. I have heard nothing from Ford and dealer reports that the have had ZERO MAVERICK TREMORS scheduled.

You can say that again. As a retired English teacher, this is so interesting that I will not even get into the discussion. This forum has experts in virtually everything. Man, we might could just pull kids out of the classroom and let them come here to get a real education LOL. On second thought that might be - well, I had better leave that one alone.

Except that’s NOT how Ford nor ppl here use it, but sure.

the xlt luxury package has never been constrained this year. It’s on the “constraint list” that shows what is or is NOT constrained. If the number is negative and red, it is constrained. If it’s black, it is not. No point in reiterating 5 times now though.
