Is someone just messing around with Forscan, because I believe that top picture is a hybrid instrument cluster? If not, why would it have an off road screen?
Yep, there’s a thread somewhere here on adding it to any of the larger screens via Forscan.

Those are both hybrids as indicated by the green band on the power meter with a battery icon, and a READY icon.

Yes, but all XL and XLT hybrid Mavericks have the 4.2" information screen, but none of the hybrids have the off road display-at least I didn't think they did. The bottom picture's information screen is correct whether it is hybrid or eco, but the top picture's instrument cluster is definitely hybrid with an off road display. That's not supposed to be a Maverick thing.

To clarify further for the Maverick Information screens: **see disclaimer below

all XL and XLT hybrids=4.2"

all non FX4 and Tremor XL and XLT ecoboost=4.2"

all FX4, Tremor and Lariat=6.5"

only FX4 and Tremor have off road display

**This information is from what I have read here on this forum, not first hand (except the XL 4.2" screen). It is possible that I am passing on incorrect information, so if any of you want to correct me, be my guest.

This is correct from the factory. However, you can modify ANY 6.5” screen to display the off-road data if you want, via a Forscan software update. The fact that hybrid and non-FX4 EB Lariats don’t come with it is just a packaging/marketing decision from Ford. It’s in the vehicle software and literally “switched off” via a single line of code.

In relation to this thread, my point was that the ability to show the off-road screen is dependent on the size/capability of the display. Only the 6.5” can actually show it, which is why both the FX4 and Tremor must ship with larger display.

I did ask in my original post if someone was just messing around with Forscan. The point being that I'm not sure of any practical use an off road screen will have in a FWD vehicle. I have an AWD XL (no off road screen) so I can't really speak to that. I did add mud/ruts and snow/sand drive modes, but have only used mud/ruts when going to my gun range after a heavy rain (long dirt road). YMMV

It's just more data that some people like to have. Plus a Maverick Hybrid can still be used for light off-roading..

Good to know. I should have realized that, as I used to have a FWD Fiesta that could handle the same road to my range. The only problem with it was ground clearance. It did bottom out a few times, but never got stuck.
I'm going to bed now because I worked last night and I have to work tonight. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night-in the daytime. You know what I mean.

I have owned both and like the smaller screen which for me has less fluff to look at and maybe silly but also prefer the old analog style fuel and temp gauges. My first Mav had the the bigger screen (Lariat and had to have it) but after a year and swapping the truck for a XLT I am liking the smaller screen better or maybe I am thinking of the money I saved. :)
I have an XLT hybrid with the 4.2 in instrument cluster. I found out yesterday from the dealer that the display only has 4 selectable views, which cannot be changed. Very disappointing. I thought I would have all the screens available on the right side of p116 in the owners manual. I was thinking that I just couldn’t figure out how to select them. I was mistaken. See picture below.

The first and last option are particularly useless to me anyway. Why would I want a digital speedometer when I already have an analog one? And why would I want a calm screen which tells me nothing about the operation of my hybrid? Ford could have put here the state of charge information about the traction battery. (It is available but you have to use Forscan to display it.)

Not going to post my messages, but I direct messaged Texas Truck on IG and they just confirmed the XLT Tremor has the 6.5 cluster!

I wanted to confirm because the user in the YouTube comments who said it did have it, wasn’t the Texas truck account.
Why not put the 6.5” instrument cluster display in all XLTs or better yet in all Mavericks regardless of trim level for the MY2024.

I learned the hard way that the 4.2” display has limitations. I thought I could select most of the screens on the right side of p116 of the Owner’s Manual 2023 and replace 2 of the 4 options below to help me drive my XLT hybrid to get higher gas mileage. Wrong. The service manager at my dealer set me straight.

Chevy is doing it right with the screens in the Silverado and new Colorado. After years of looking like the inside of a UHaul - Chevey stepped it up big time.

Would be nice if Ford followed suit. I didn't feel the 6.5" was necessary when ordering the XL hybrid, but it was a major disappointment to me not being able to get FX4, 4K, and BAP because you are shackled to the 4.2" screen.
