Good evening gentlemen and ladies. For all those who are concerned the angle of my axles are around 8-9 degrees. That is not much of a radical angle compared to all the vehicles I've worked on in the last 25 years however due to the ongoing axle problem from some individuals especially with lifts I was just wondering what the angles are on all the vehicles that were lifted 1 to 2 1/2 inches on a regular XLT. I know there are people that have not had problems with there lifts. I just want to raise mine 1 inch in the front. This is what the gauges show on level ground. Left and right:) Photo below of stock lift height.

AMC Eagles have that much angle down and then that much backwards as well. Stock people lift those up to 3" though most stop at 2".

I think the issue with the axles is more of a quality issue. Im sure in a year or 2 replacement CVs will have a different clamp and possibly the trans axle seal will change.

-8/9deg, now that's interesting, @Lane measured his hybrid @ -12deg I'm assuming empty.
I was expecting a Tremor to be at least + that much with it's lift. with my 6'1" 240# and my standard load of accessories on board my heavier Lariat Tremor maybe -7deg.

Until someone measures a AWD EB I will guess them to be closer to -6/7deg or roughly half the shaft angle of a stock hybrid.

Thanks @Grand Nat.

My Tremor had a little less then a 1/4 of a tank of fuel and was not loaded when I placed my gauge on the axle.. I'm still interested in a measurement with a 2" plus lift on an XLT AWD.

good point on the fuel load, I'm slipping on the obvious ;)
