Hello, I have a 23 Hybrid Maverick with about 35K miles, and have noticed a slight front end shimmy/wobble through the steering wheel during acceleration. All classic signs of CV axle failure, and it seems to be a pretty well known issue on early Mavericks around this milage. I understand it should be under warranty, but I was wondering how much of a fight this may end up being with the dealer. So far, I have had no complaints with my dealership, but I haven't had to warranty anything yet. The shimmy/wobble is subtle, but enough that I noticed it and started searching online (it wasn't something I was aware of and watching for, so I don't think I am imagining it). I also understand that it could potentially be hard to diagnose officially without taking the CV axle apart.

Is this something I am going to have to fight them over? The earliest appointment I could get is next week, and they say they need the truck for 4-6 days to do the diagnosis. That seems a bit overboard, but I have an extra vehicle and can deal with it. Any recommendations on getting this handles with the minimum of fuss?

Thanks!
