Tow mirrors

Any news on aftermarket mirror extensions for camper towing? Any company planning to produce such mirrors?

I have some aftermarket that I used on my Escape and now my Mav. 2 straps wrap around the mirrors with pieces that fit between the glass of the mirror and the plastic... Tighten up nicely and have had no issues. My 1st set I purchased were held on via Velcro. Not tight enough and slipped when they got wet. Maine requires when towing... Imagine other states do as well.

I'm waiting too.
I have some with the black rubber bungee cord type straps.
Works. Better than none.
But are not wide enough in my opinion.

Adds about 5 inches to each side.
I'd like more.

When you read the fine print, they are all the same size. I have one of the variants as pictured. Installed in real life they are not as wide as advertised.

In the photo above it is either photoshopped or they strapped theirs to the smallest car mirror they could find to make theirs look larger. It's a deceptive photo, unfortunately.

I have these.
But what you don't realize until you try it out is: the taller your OEM the shorter they become.

I guess Maverick mirrors are taller than a bunch of others.

I purchased my KZ 130RD specifically because it's 7'6" wide and I'm able to see fine without extensions. I can see the pretty common 8' wide trailers being a problem. I added a Bluetooth rear camera that really makes the towing experience even better.

I have a 7' wide enclosed utility trailer.
I run all the time without mirror extensions.

But at 8' for the camper, 100% needed.
