There used to be towing mirrors that clamped on the fender in the hood seam with a hook under the wheel well. They tightened down with a turnbuckle to grip the fender. These were from the 1970's.
I had a set of mirrors like that but I stopped using them because if you hit something with them or if a passing car clips the mirror it will mess up your fender or door skin

The ones I have now clip to the mirror, if something happens the mirror just folds

I have found with previous vehicles that when these mirrors come out and you want one, get it straight away.

You never know how long you will be able to get them. Ford will possibly change the mirror shape and then these mirrors will be gone shortly after the change.

I hope their design will accommodate both the standard XL / XLT and the Lariat "360° camera" mirrors

So I went to preorder them on etrailer's website and it then said expected restock date of April 11, 2026. Ugh! Just can't win!

I have a set of those, my Mav will be trying them on at some point.

I preserved them because they look "scary" big fuckoff mirrors means big fuckoff load, cut out too close in front and you'll get flattened.... that's my theory anyway.

I would think @MABETT could profitably offer something more affordable than what I've seen here that would be suitable for the Maverick. How about it Mabett?

McKesh mirrors should work, but they may be over kill.

McKesh Mirrors
I have a set of those, but as stated above I don't use them because if you clip something with the mirror, the mounting bracket will cause a lot of damage to the door and probably break the window too. If anyone wants them, I'll sell them CHEAP! :D

Good find! An excellent alternative and far better than nothing for sure.

Myself, I would stick with the old school mirror if at all possible...but I can change, if I have to...

I already have muscle/mind memory for scanning truck guages looking for trouble indications (okay, also our super fuel mileage, how I am doing and DTE!), side mirror drivers side, rearview mirror, then passenger mirror, interspersed with looking forward, then way in the distance forward. Repeat in different sequence to keep the mind fresh.

And look around to see the beautiful world we live in.

I like the side mirrors as well for all trailers as with it I can check my trailer tires both on the highway at speed as I know the deflection on my sidewalls and glance look for any change...this is very important when towing a trailer with 2 sets of tires per side!

And the way I like to have mine set up is also helpful to ensure my right hand turns are wide enough to not kerb-swipe or kerb-bounce with the trailer tires...they are part of my all-around situational awareness tools.

All the mirrors are used and have a job to do is what I am saying, "for myself and myself only".

A shameless plug for my towing thread follows...

Sorry about drifting off into general towing info, I will try to save that for my thread on "So You Want to tow a trailer, eh?". Might need to add a post from this to it.

Andy

Ive looked for this on Amazon but can't find the model that comes with the side cameras. Can you provide a link ?
