modern society in a nutshell, trade away your privacy for the slightest convenience, even paying THEM for the opportunity to make money off you!
In case you don't know, even if you never signed up with Amazon (raises hand) they have a profile on you.

I have a 25 Mav and overall the screen controls do not make me hate the system. However I find that it takes my eyes away from the road longer than with physical knobs that hold my fingers in place. I have adjusted the temperature up/down and inadvertently turned the heated seats on, wondered why my butt was getting hot! For temp adjustments I now use voice commands more ofter as I find them more dependable. There are other voice commands that I will be experimenting with to see how all that goes. Talking to my car is less of an issue than talking to my computer, for what ever reason. In an office everyone talking to a computer would be distracting and likely why that has not taken place. In a car, especially while driving alone, not an issue. The voice recognition is much better than in my 18 Nissan Leaf. Progress on voice.

So I am split on the subject. I think it is one we are going to have to get used to as the auto industry is going this way. It will likely continue unless there is regulations to prevent it, not likely I predict.

Would not be surprised to see a trend toward 'voice activated' vehicles with most functions/accessories controlled by voice. When you start swearing at other drivers AI will be able to filter it out.

We were men once,
I could stretch over and hand crank that passenger window up at 80 mph.

I used to walk to school up hill,
Both ways, :XD
And a few cars I could roll down both fronts at the same time.

At first I wasn't a fan of the touch screen controls but after a couple months it's a non-issue. Like so many things, it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Used to keep vehicles a long time but with all the new tech I think I'll just trade it in after the warranty expires, or maybe shortly before. In my 70's now I don't know how much longer I want to work on my own vehicles anyway. Never thought I'd say this but as complicated as vehicles have gotten I might even consider a lease next time.

Ignorance is bliss, My sync 3 does everything I need it to do.
I’m sure if I ever use sync 4 I’ll want it.
But for now, I’m good.
Sync3 not terrible but I could never go back to CTR. It was awful.

I've noticed that a lot of people complaining about the lack of physical climate control knobs or buttons on the 2025 Maverick. They primarily come from those who don't own a 2025. Am I the only one that was pleasantly surprised at how simple the touch screen controls are? The fact that they are always visible seems to make all the difference. I like the fact that I don't have to scroll through a menu. What do you guys think concerning the touch screen only climate controls? Were you pleasantly surprised too?
I've only had my 2025 Maverick Lobo for a week and I am totally satisfied with the climate controls screens. No issues.

Does voice control work if you say increase temp 2 degrees or do you have to tell it a temp?

When I reach for the radio to change station, accedently I turn the fan, a lot of the times steering wheel heat or seat heat.

Whatever I don’t like about the HVAC is quickly made up for with Sync 4. Cannot fathom going back to CTR or Sync 3
What's better in Sync 4?
After a month with it on that Bronco Sport, it didn't notice anything better than my Sync 3.

I did notice the SiriusXM doesn't show what song is on, only the channel name when searching, unlike my Sync 3. I also turned off the built in Wireless Android Auto so I could use my AAWIRELESS adapter with developer mode for 3rd party apps.

I haven't ever changed the fan by mistake. I don't have heated seats. So I can't speak to that

I own a 2025, and am NOT a fan of anything touchscreen. It's all a liability, and will lead to thousands in needless, avoidable repair costs down the road. I love so much about the truck, but would have greatly preferred the option of getting one without all the unnecessary electronics, from the push-button start to the lane warning system (and yes, I did shut that off within an hour of getting the truck) to everything on the touch-screen. Life is a series of compromises.
I understand that you're not a fan because of the potential problems down the road. But how easy or difficult, convenient or inconvenient is it to operate the actual controls themselves. ? If you knew they'd last the life of the truck, Are they inconvenient or simply different?

I work at the dealership. Sync 3 was fine. But then they came out with sync 4. So when I get back in a vehicle with sync 3, I find myself wondering what's taking it so long to respond 😅

That behavior will be sent to your insurance company...
You will be "labeled" an... Angry/Aggressive driver... 🤔
