I’ve never been excited about the 45 degree angle on the front high tie downs. I’ve tried both mounted up & down and every time I hook up a strap, I think ... this should be easier to use.

Anyone know of any cheap(ish) alternatives? I’m thinking something like the Ford one, but bent at 90 degrees instead of 45 degrees. If they didn't have the ears, that would be fine too. I haven't found them to be useful to me.

Maybe Maxzina will come up with a solution to address your concerns like they did for the rear of the bed

I found an old Coleman 120 quart ice chest in the attic when we cleaned out my m-i- law's house after she passed. Nobody claimed it so it became my carry everything in the Maverick. Made a quick release strap anyd tied it to front high connector and the rear one. I bought some D rings and installed them at other tie down locations. They swivel so they are really generic. I don't haul much in the Mav, that's not why own it. Light weight HF straps hold down everything I need to not blow out of the bed. If you don't like the factory tie downs, replace thm with D rings.

I installed L-track in each side of the bed and it's worked out OK, but not as useful as I had hoped because access can be blocked by cargo. I also have T-slot rails on the bed top, but the aluminum extrusion is not really strong enough for "real" loads (like a motorcycle). I've found the front floor D-rings (XLT) to be a pleasant surprise for low loads like compressed gas bottles on their side, but wish there were similar floor-mounted D-rings in the rear of the bed. Perhaps symmetry is my thing? I do love the ability to carry a 4x8 sheet in this tiny trucklet, so color me happy in my real world of imperfection and compromise. Now if only the tailgate logo hinged out so the camera would work when the tailgate is down...

I relocated my jack from Under my back seat since I have a 1500 watt inverter installed i needed more room for it also since I have my truck back seat rigged out for my dog , figured this would be better and safer if I ever got a flat on the highway

One thing I find SUPER annoying is that you cannot lower the spare if the tailgate isn't closed. So, you better pray you're not coming home with a load of drywall or plywood and pick up a nail....

I never noticed that that's a great observation
