Yes, there are an increasing number of Mavericks on the road. But if you bought a Tacoma in 2022, you would see THEM everywhere and be oblivious to the Mavericks. Just our minds playing tricks on us;)

Many many years ago my late wife observed that we often saw really nice houses when travelling out of state but they always seemed to be on busy highways. She got upset that I was laughing and demanded to know why I was laughing AT her. I said " We only are travelling on the busy highways. I'm sure there are just as nice or better houses on the side roads and streets."

Went to our local mom and pop hardware/garden center. Usually find a lot of older F150s, tundras, and Silverados with an occasional big diesel Ram thrown in. This time there were 4 mavericks! 3 lariats and my xlt. The Mavericks out numbered the Tundras! Mind you this is not a big box store, but a well loved local hardware store where you can still find almost anything. People have been coming here for decades, a real local institution.

You used to never see another Maverick. Now there are 3 in my neighborhood. 1 XL and 2 Lariats, not counting my XLT. One other note. All were 25 or newer and hybrids. My 24 was the only one with the more "normal" grill :).
4 in my 'hood' (I had the first :}) and 2 of which are within 4 houses of me.

My wife and I still point them out on the road as well even though they are much more prevalent.
Unfortunately, my wife couldn't care less, which is ironic since she's the one who first mentioned that I should take a look at purchasing the Maverick back in 2022.

Great story. My condolences on your loss. Sounds like you had a wonderful marriage.

Most if us are still "special". Not in the way you meant it 😆
Well, that's kinda what I meant.
Ever notice; you buy a new car, and all of a sudden you notice a LOT of that model on the roads? Not so for the Mav until maybe recently.
A few years ago we came up on a Ford pickup, and I said to my wife "what's that?" Got close enough to see the "Maverick" on the back, and thought "that was a 70's CAR! Now we own one and love it. The perfect size, and easy to get in/out of it.
I'd only trade if they come out with an all electric Maverick. All our drives are local, and we have solar on our house, so there would be zero expense for fuel.
At almost 50mpg and purchased my '24 for a very good price and living up north I can't justify an EV.

I wonder how long it takes to receive your Maverick now? From when I ordered in '22 it took at least 16 months. The wait made me a little crazy. I work close to the dealer so I'd stop in every week or so to drive him crazy too. Well, he did tell me it would take a month so maybe next time he'll be careful with his promises.

Like all marriages it had it's good days and bad. The last 10 years as her health deteriorated it wasn't fun. But I prefer to remember the good days since all of them are in the past no need to dwell on the bad.

those were the days weren't they? My sales guy told be probably a year and he was right on target - the waiting though...and trying to get thru another year with an old 'needy' beater...that was a little troublesome.

When we got our first Mav in 2022 I was driving the F-150 and my wife had taken my former H3. She never wanted to replace the H3 and said it was the safest vehicle she ever rode in. As soon as I told her about Ford coming out with the Mav she wanted it and would immediately give up her Hummer. We loved that first Mav hybrid for three years and 25K miles, got what we originally paid for it from Carvana when we sold it to them, and moved on to the '25 Mav hybrid which has exhibited none of the battery problems the '22 did. Life is good.

We were on the Big Island (HI) last month and noticed the island had been totally invaded by Mavericks- )

Northern CT here. At my local Dodge dealer where i successfully bought 2 used Ford F150s with Zero issues there is a 22 XLT Cherry Red 63k miles for $25,877 Eco Boost in comparison there is a 25 F150 25k miles for $45k . The local Ford dealer where i purchased mine has many new and used Mavericks and is still not offering any cash back deals on the Maverick but has some on most other models except high end mustangs and bronco packages

Lol! But that's interesting as I've noticed the same thing. It's like all of the A51 Mavs have gone away. Feel like I mostly see white and Alto Blue Mavs.
Interesting... Mavericks are everywhere around here, but I've never seen an Alto blue one in person. The blue ones around here are always Atlas or Velocity.

I was one of the very few who had a Maverick in my area. I ordered in July of 2021 and took delivery that December. I recall people looking at me like I was driving a Ferrari or some other semi-rare car. People would ask me about it all the time. Now they're everywhere. No one even glances my way any more. Fine by me. 👍
Same here. I even had people leave their table at a restaurant and venture out to where I was parked! No so much these days.
