Did no one see the design elements of the 25 Maverick Headlights when they came out?

Buttons on the bottom of the screen work fine. People are just nit picking that. There are literally like 50 upgrades on the 25 to counter act that.
I mostly agree with this, especially if a person uses voice control to adjust climate settings. Seat and steering wheel heaters on/off via touchscreen really sucks, though.

However, the major drawback I see in the 2025 is price. The A plan pricing helps a lot, but it's still about 2,000 more expensive like-for-like for my configuration.

I can't comment on the seat and steering wheel heaters. My poverty spec XL doesn't have them. And true, even after saving $2,450 off sticker, option for option the 2025 was about $2,750 more than my 23. But it has been refined quite a bit. To me, it is worth it, and I'd do it again. Without employee pricing I might not. Sync 4 is a Huge upgrade by itself.

I can hit a button by feel. I can't do that with a screen. Like there's a reason I use the button media controls instead of the onscreen media controls when I'm using Apple carplay -- and not just because it gives me full media control while I have google maps going. It's not the end of the world to have to use a screen, but if I have a choice, I want buttons.

And again, the heated wiper park. Can't get that on a '25.

...people actually use voice to adjust climate settings?

for the 25 I think it would be a hell of a lot easier to push the voice assistant button on the steering wheel once or twice (twice, if you have carplay or android auto running) and then say 'climate set 70 degrees' rather than futz with the touchscreen.

I *can* do that in my Bronco as it has sync4, but it also has a knob just like the 22-24 maverick, so I just turn the knob. without a knob, I would probably prefer the voice command.

As long as you can speak, you don't have to touch the button again. Voice controls work. You can keep both hands on the wheel. Never had heated wipers, and never needed them. But simple solution for you. Don't upgrade.

In my case, this is compounded by combining packages that don't make much sense together like requiring the luxury package on an FX4. To get a '25 XLT with the same options I included on my '24, the '25 currently is $5000 more due to this. Granted, I would "upgrade" to the luxury package and Co-pilot 360 along with those options, but I don't care to have them.

As long as I'm the only one speaking that is. I've had people trying to sell me on voice control for the last twenty years, and I've never found it reliable enough to trust for when I'm going down the highway at 70 miles per hour. 😆

As for not "upgrading," this whole thing was me saying "I don't hate the 2025 front end anymore, but I'd rather keep my 2023." Like that was my whole point to begin with.

I have the standard wake up word for controls. "OK Ford" followed by your command. As long as no one else says "OK Ford" or the phrase you set it will ignore all talk.

Unless someone else starts talking while you're in the middle of a voice command and confuses the system. Also, "OK Ford" is one hundred percent a set a syllables that will come out of someone's mouth without thinking. I have an Alexa and that thing triggers on "close enough" phrases that I can't imagine how annoying it would be if the damned thing goes off while I'm having a conversation with my wife while going down the interstate.

I could live with touchscreen controls if I had to. I would rip out the microphone before anyone could ever make me use voice commands. 😆

I use the touch controls. Same as if I had a button to me.
