North Dallas. Bought and delivered at Autonation Ford. When I arrived to pick up the truck they had 3 dealer added options ready to install. Totaling around +$2k, I don't remember all of them, things like windshield guard, window tinting, interior fabric spray. I didn't want any of the options. So they deleted them off the price tag and reran all the paperwork. They kept to the MSRP, no extra fees.

Mine is at the rail yard waiting for a truck to take it to the dealership.
My wife and I spent the weekend in Kerrville where I saw the first Mav's I've seen in the wild. One was being driven, and the other was a white fleet XL parked at a Napa store.

The closer it gets the longer the wait seems. According to the trackers, the truck arrived at the mesquite train yard Sunday morning. Ford tracker is now showing it is at the dealership preparing for delivery. Trying to be patient while waiting to get word that I can pickup this truck I ordered last July 8th.

I finally just got a 5/9 build date for my 8/21 order. Looks like delivery will be in June if there are no further delays.

Edit: My salesman (5-Star Carrollton) said my truck will be one of the first hybrids at their dealership. That surprises me. I always assumed they had a good number of June-July and early August hybrid orders ahead of mine.

Another one here in Austin.

Area 51, hybrid, Lariat.

Ordered last July thru the totally awesome Taylor at Maxwell Ford (shout out!), it was built Feb 21st-ish, and we took delivery on St Patrick’s Day. Yeah it was a wait but we feel it was worth it for us.

First time owning a hybrid and it drives just fine. It sounds unusual sometimes when the battery is working but otherwise I couldn’t tell it’s a hybrid.

Driving to HEB and back I’m averaging 45-48/MPG. We took it out to hill country and saw mileage drop to 37-39 on the highways. Very happy with both overall, especially these days.

I have noticed the dashboard plastic heats up in the warm afternoon sun, even while driving and the AC blasting. And it’s not even Texas hot yet!!! I ordered and dash cover to hopefully absorb some heat.

Wondering if anybody else has noticed this?

I've not in my EB XL. I'll check randomly, but I was looking at dash covers anyway.

Just drove mine home last night! Big shout out to Legacy Ford in Rosenberg. No unwelcome surprises. Mr. Errol Hampton took good care of us.

The closest I have been to Texas is a couple days in Alabama. Would be great to see you guys post photos of your Mavericks in different locations around the state. Love this Kevin Fowler song and video—

Just got a call from my dealership (Mcree Ford) that my Maverick (XLT hybrid, CP 360, cactus gray) has a build week of 5/19!

I originally ordered 6/9 and was really losing hope about when it would ever get built. So there is hope for any other unscheduled June orders out there.

I have a couple of Mavericks ordered from Planet Ford, but was also on a call list for Gullo Ford, Conroe. They called me and offered a Lariat Hybrid Base Package that was refused by the customer who ordered it. I bought it on the spot! I thought that they would add a dealer markup of $2-5k to the MSRP. I was prepared to negotiate. After I saw it, I said "ok, how much?" The rep said MSRP, $27,915, plus the dealer add-ons: wheel lock and tint, $529. I could not write the check fast enough. Yeah, they made about $400 on the tint and locks, and maybe $400 on the truck. I thought that was very fair, because I am now driving a Maverick Lariat, and love it! Have logged 2000 miles; so far, so good. I recommend Josh McKee, Gullo Ford, Conroe, TX.
After I picked up my Hybrid in January, 2022, my neighbor came over, fell in love, and placed an order with Gullo Toyota for an XL EB, Area 51. The ordered car arrived in 3 months! Today they are basking together in the Texas sun...and pollen.

I'm in the north DFW area, put in my order at Five Star Ford in Dallas with a $500 deposit a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the XLT in Cactus Gray with the 2.0 Ecoboost, AWD, 4k tow package, FX4, and a couple of other bells and whistles. Figure the Maverick won't necessarily match up in the land of F150, Ram, Silverado, etc. but compared to something like a Civic that I was possibly going to get it will be pretty darn useful for my needs.
Did I run into you in Lkaehighlands tonight?
