Very nice. Have you received your Maverick yet? Also how long from the day it was shipped to the day the dealership called you that it has arrived? ...

I don't recall the exact time line, but it arrived about 2 weeks before Ford's expected delivery date on the tracker. I order through Chapman to deliver to Spikes. Didn't dive it much until I got the front clear wrapped b/c 83. It's been a week as my daily and I like it. Lots of pep, for sure. I even had someone come up to me at home depot today to ask about it.

I've noticed in reading through several threads that there are a bunch of us Texans who have either ordered a Maverick or are about to. I thought it would be interesting if all Texans would list their location (city or town), the dealer they are working with, what build they have already ordered or have in mind, and anything else that might be interesting or helpful to fellow Texans. I think good dealer experience would be helpful to others as well as dealers you would not recommend. Not sure if this is allowed in the forum rules to talk bad about specific dealers but we'll soon find out!

I live in a golf course community known as Holly Lake Ranch. It is a very pretty place nestled in the Piney Woods of east Texas, roughly half way between Shreveport, LA. and Dallas, Texas. All the dealers around here are small, country mom and pop businesses. If you go to the "city" such as Longview or Tyler, there are a few bigger dealerships but I have found them to be no better than our more rural "locals". I ordered my Lariat from Texas Country Ford, Winnsboro, Tx. Once they got the hang of the Maverick ordering system they did very well and I have received confirmation from Ford that my order has been accepted. I have already recommended them to several forum members here in Texas looking to order a Maverick.

Another reason for my starting this thread is that I recall my early days at the Honda Ridgeline forum about 15 years ago where threads like this were started in various states. We Ridgeline owners would often get together for lunches and compare and show off our Ridgelines, mods and accessories. We all learned a great deal from each other. We would also go to car shows and do various other things as a group and the Ridgeline caravan was quite impressive. It was a good time and some of us even went on hunting trips together and shared other interests. Maybe something social like this can happen down the road with Texas Maverick owners. Anyway, Texas Mavericks is a cool name (not only for the basketball team) and deserves a thread of its own - so here it is Texas!!!

Denton County and using Grapevine Ford. Ordered the Lariat 2.5L Carbonized Grey. I received the order confirmation on October 4 and that was the last communication I received from Ford

The Woodlands, TX. Ordered Cyber Orange Lariat with Lux, FX, 4K Tow and TriFold Tonneau. Went to Gullo Ford in Conroe. Order went in Nov 20, Accepted by ford Nov 22. At priority 19 I expect the manufacturing plant to get plenty of practice before they get to my build.

Ford email to me next day 28 Oct....now krickets...as is expected. I told dealer I understand first year models as many Fords I owned were made to order for me. Two were accepted and scheduled for July Job 1 and I got in under 8 weeks. This is a first year truck, I expect initial issues so hoping my Late April to early June delivery (my hunch) will be a debugged version...well at least dealers by then will have some experience

One of you posted a thread about likely being ridiculed by your co-workers for buying a small truck. I get a good laugh every one of my neighbors buy a new pickup and immediately lift it more and fit larger tires than the other neighbors have theirs.
I call that Texas Canine Pack Mentality; see who can piss highest on the tree. I am heading the other direction with my Maverick as soon as a quality and reputable manufacturer engineers a 3" rear and 2" front lowering kit.

Probably close to the same but it's wider inside. Sporttrac i could almost touch the passenger door. Can't on the maverick.

FYI. Got CG grey too! It looks silver when overcast and gold with the metallic specs in bright sunshine.
