This is me. I've never had a single ounce of desire to own a truck. But something that can tow, gets decent MPG, rides like a car/crossover, is reasonably priced and can haul a small load once in awhile? Now you've got my interest.
Once you own a truck you tell yourself you will always own a truck.

I've been waiting for the Maverick for 20 years. The x-cab Ranger was too small and the s-cab F-150 was too big. Unless the Maverick is a total bust, I will own mine for many years.

I would think that that NM would be a EV friendly state, especially in the Albuquerque area.

I surfed used Leafs for sale, seems an 8 year old car runs about 14-15k on Carvana or Carmax.

I would like an EV, but we only fill the Accord up every 3-4 weeks so it makes better financial sense to keep what we have.
You would think so, but it isn’t really. City of 800k people and there is one supercharger. Not even all that many ChargePoint stations, especially at shopping locations, except one Walmart. They are getting better though.

We got our 2014 leaf three years ago, for about half what they are going for now.

Have you ever driven a base pickup from the 90s? The hybrid is basically a racecar in comparison.
Absolutely.. hybrid only about 7/10s slower then Ecoboost to 60.. not so slow.

I disagree…ford wanted to revive a segment and what better way to do that that with something that has never been done before. A standard hybrid truck

Having three different trim packages, two different engines is fine. But why not offer it in EXT cab but with longer bed? For me a single person that no longer has two boys to haul around to baseball anymore, I can get by without the Maverick crew cab. Don't get me wrong, not complaining about having a crew cab. But at a lower price point for EXT cab would have worked for me.

Funny thing, is there has been next to no "marketing" anywhere for the Maverick....
