Was returning from a trip to Vegas and when I got in the Maverick at the airport where it was sitting for 5 days I got a warning on the dash stating that my keyfob battery was low....coincidentally - it is going in for inspection and oil change this Friday and 26C10 software update so I will add it to the service for them to replace the fob battery. Normally, I would just change it myself, but it IS under warranty....lol

I am pretty sure one of the other members here (who shall remain nameless...until they make their offer) will say your truck is a write-off and you need to sell it to them for 1000.00...don't do it!

;-)

Have a good one,

Andy

Brought the Maverick in yesterday for it's annual NYS safety/emissions inspection. While there, I had them do an oil change (yes, they used the proper 0W-20 Motorcraft synthetic oil) also completed the 26C10 trailer module software update - checked the fluid levels in the PTU and RDU (with a confirming video sent to my email) and replaced the battery in the keyfob under warranty. The appointment time was 8AM. I brought the vehicle in at 8, they offered me a ride home which was probably an error on my part as they "pushed" my truck out of cue.

When I called the dealership at 2PM, they stated it was coming into the shop in a few minutes. I was a little miffed about that and reminded them that with the Ford App...I can see that my car had not moved all day. I also explained to them that if they wanted to keep the truck all day, that would be fine, just tell me when I schedule an appointment so I can plan accordingly.

When I got to the dealership at 5PM, they apologized profusely and did not charge me for either the safety/emissions inspection ($21.00) nor the oil/filter change ($89.00+) and that I was good to go at zero expense out of pocket. I will be recommending them for service with the reminder to always ask if they need the vehicle all day or not and was on my way.

Color me satisfied.

PS: Today 4/04/2026 is the 1 year anniversary of me getting my Maverick.

It's nice to hear someone else who has a good experience with their local dealer. And when necessary, a little communication can go a long way in maintaining that level.

I know I get treated pretty well, and would hope this is the majorities experience as well.

Congrats on your 1 year Maverick enjoyment anniversary!
