You can be excited about getting one but the Maverick is NOT an exciting vehicle.
Telling people that they can’t be excited about something is silly. While the Maverick may not be an exiting truck for you, it is to many of us. It’s an amazing vehicle. No need to feel sorry for us—but please feel free to buy us all a sympathy drink anyway.

Reading comprehension is apparently not your strong suit.

I agree. Critiquing things that bring people a little joy in these trying times because they feel otherwise is just wrong. If I could, I'd buy the world a drink, because diety knows we've all needed one at some point.

I'm the least Maverick fanboy on this whole site. I'd have happily paid much more for a nicer interior and a 2 door variant. That said, I'd agree with the OP that Ford is generating a series of hits. They're generating excitement in the automotive press and the public alike. Not because they're muscle cars, but because they're innovative products that meet customer wants and needs. Bronco, Bronco Sport, Maverick, Lightning, Mach E - all super popular hits.

But it's not just the auto gods causing Ford problems - Ford has to stop aiming at its own foot. Ford has to execute and deliver and not drain profits servicing warranty debt. The Ford CEO has acknowledged that they're botching launch after launch, that their quality sucks and that this is draining profits.

So yea, the auto gods are messing with Ford. But so is Ford.

I mean think about it. Ford is killing with exciting models that people actually want with the Lightning, Bronco and Maverick. However they can’t produce the products.

My guess is by the time they get their $hit together the competition will catch up and their current ā€œhot productsā€ will be yesterdays news.

Such a shame.

Sorry just a rant from someone that is getting their Maverick bumped to 2023šŸ˜¤šŸ˜€
Ford people are Ford people,,,, you think reliability and availability are going to change our minds hah

There is an inherent attribute and affinity that Ford Motor Comp possesses that is not so easily lost.

I will wait as most will too, to get what they want and believe in. Like a planned pregnancy I waited like a father to be for my Maverick to show up and it did and I love it very very much. And I will wait 12 months for my BaseSqwatch too or longer to get it as MSRP. I (we) will not settle no, not even for green eggs and ham....

I would argue that I am the least Maverick Ford Fanboy on this site but since you made the claim I will accept the #2 spot😃

As I have posted before the only reason I would consider a Maverick is the fuel economy of the hybrid. Being a Ford you are rolling the dice on reliability so if I keep the vehicle while it is under warranty and then sell it if it turns out to be a POS. Anyway I need to do something about my current ā€œcommuterā€ that gets 14mpg and runs on premium fuel😧

cross the line sales are down but the maverick is still way ahead in the small compact segment and has taken over the ranger. Everyone having production issues. The market is about to pop .
