That took me back a bit. Remember my parents having one of those when I was younger. Even drove it some when I got my license. Good days and simpler times. Thanks @Maverickman74 .
That was a good video by Sarah-n-Tuned. I'm impressed with how well the Maverick went up the rutted hill...
Pop2020, that looks about like the color I remember my parents had for their Maverick.
Thanks on the official Maverick family member welcome, Shecster. (y)
I miss-typed in my earlier post. Dad had a 1930 Model A that he restored. Also had a 1929 convertible that he started to restore but...
If it counts, my parents had a Maverick. Just a kid at the time I barely remember it. Believe it was brown / gold -ish color and 4 doors. What I remember more was his 1929 Model A he restored. He loved that thing. Wish I would have had the chance to of bought it from him long ago. Would be...
Enjoyed the Kelley Blue Book - Lyn Woodward review on the Maverick both hybrid and ecoboost. Thought she did a good pre-review of the Ranger just before it came out as well. I also liked the Alex and FL videos.
edit- @AdventureSetterland is that an English Setter in your pic? Used to...
Thanks, bombast. I did not wish to buy one, was just wondering what happened to them. The note SuperA got said they were not for sale. Figured if they were still in good shape then they went back to Ford to be used as service vehicles to shuttle things around. Was not thinking to search...
Out of curiosity what happens to the "mannequin units" after production ramps up and normal vehicle flow arrives at the dealers? Are they returned to Ford to be used for whatever?
Not much use to worry about battery replacement 8 years out in today's money. Think about how far battery tech has come in the last 8 years. In the next 8 years it will be even more impressive. Probably cost less to replace than we are thinking and with the new battery having greater storage...
I was leaning towards the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus for my Ranger eventually. Thinking they might work for a new Maverick as well. Mostly on road with some off road capability. Sharp looking tire with good specs and reviews on Tire Rack. The 3 peak and snowflake are a plus for winter...
I say it all works by magic you Muggles!
Seriously though, great discussion. Really interesting in learning how this electric motor and gas engine combo works.
As long as I can still use my Waze app for navigation on the truck display, or my phone if need be, then I will be happy. Use a separate USB hard drive for my tunes.
Great video, Adawalli. Thanks for sharing. Nice to see some NC folks on this forum.
Very well said @NewBernWolf .
I'm hoping in a few years time people will no longer be so focused with asking about the lifespan of an electric vehicle's battery. Just like almost no one nowadays asks...
