I tried that this weekend, on a mid-70's day. The wind buffeting was more than a little annoying,,,,,

Open the slider. If you don't have a slider, then crank up the ZZTop :)

Yeah I have 2023 Maverick Lariat and the must have been trying to save microchips because there is no digital display on the dials, once you change the dial it displays in the middle of the touch screen and then its on the top right and left for driver and passenger on the Sync screens. Its not shown in Carplay thou unless you're moving the dial.

When I feel hot, I turn the dial towards cooler; When I'm cold, I turn it towards hotter. Some days, I'm cold at 70, some days I'm cold at 73.

Seeing the digital readout in a dial or on my infotainment screen doesn't really make me "feel" any differently.

My 22 Maverick had the temp display on the knob. My 23 doesn't. But, considering that I spent most of my driving live with a display similar to this (even though most of my cars in the early years of my driving life didn't even have AC), I think I can live with the set temp only showing on the screen when I turn the knob.

If the ambient air temperature outside is cold, then you don't want the A/C on; if the air temp outside is hot, you don't want the heater on. If it feels good outside, keep the widow down and save a little gas ;)
Much simpler here in Texas. It's hot. Period. You want the A/C on. Period. 🤪

Reminded me of my first Ford, where this is all it had:

Factory 255 AC.. 2 windows down, 55mph LOL

But I got spoiled with the temps on the knobs in my Escape and now in my current Maverick.
My Tremor is in the process of being built, and I fully expect JOB2 controls (no temp on knob).
One of my Day1 changes is to put the JOB1 controls in it. I intend on posting a step-by-step even though tons already exist :)

Where do you plan/think you will find the “Job 1” parts. For the Day 1 activities !

I bought them from Tasca Parts as they had the best price at the time. Part Number NZ6Z-19980-B. They are sitting on the workbench with all the other stuff I have for it ready to go when it gets here. :)
