Arizona is getting a lot of new residents, I have a friend here in Oahu that was just transferred.
Mass exit from California! Everyone wants out of that Mess.
It's also a nice place to live. A lot like Nevada, Texas, or New Mexico.

Had a similar experience on cross country trips through Wyoming on I-80 at night... You can see the natural gas refinery in Sinclair for , well forever, keeps encouraging you to drive on....
This was I presume just from well vents dotting the landscape but yeah, really makes ya think about the overall efficiency of our systems, atleast the Mavericks all get decent mileage.

My back windows on my current car ‘18 Kona are very tinted (stock) and the seats are still sun washed, and I live Mauka.
It really is nuts how much the sun degrades things when its pointed directly at you!

Im not from Maui but I cant really imagine leaving it again. I came out when I was 20 laft after 3 years and regretted it every single day. I've lived in several states and visited almost all of em several times. I can honestly say no othe place in this country could make me as happy as I am day in day out. Money goes a little farther on the mainland but not far enough if you still have to earn it. Overall the personal climate there is getting wilder and wilder on every trip I take. Everyone is after everyone it seems like. Atleast here the rich and poor can unite and laugh at the tourists lol!
I suppose if you got a plan to sell land or something here that it may weigh out in your favor, but theres a whole lot to love out here.

No tank you.

58 at night here. 74 during the day.
My home has no air conditioning.
Never been needed.
I burn fuel for heat about 20 nights a year. Just horrible living here.

Sure the gasoline costs a little more but I'm using gallons less than you poor saps. I never run the heat in the truck and use air-conditioning in the truck only a handful of days. Sometimes just for the first 5 minutes after getting in.

You live on Maui it’s a whole different world than Honolulu same weather but crazy Metropolis Hawaii style. I always wanted to live live in Kona. Instead, I bought the car.

It is a cool car, and yeah Oahu is a whole different deal. Really only been to the hospital and airport, but Magnum PI shows it all with empty freeways and open country everywhere just just a couple Ferrari gear shifts from downtown:ROFLMAO: and free helicopter rides if you pay for gas!

Free helecopter rides, like MEDIVAC!!! Since Oahu has the only full service hospitals..which is scary when you have a major malfunction on outer islands! I have a friend who I pick up at the airport 2x a month for medical reasons! YIKES

You know it a real shame Ford took away the remote start on the key fob on the 23s . On my 22! Maverick so easy push lock once push start twice DONE . Alot easier then going thru my phone . I quess it's just me . 🤔
I am finding many things are better on a 22 other than the cost. Remote start on the fob , the keypad on the door. Late build ecobo0st no recalls or issues. Happy I ordered it when I did. To endure this kind of heat is unbelievable. Don't see that in NJ. Anyone have any overheating issues in this crazy weather?

Well I have survived without remote start for 72 years won't miss it a bit. Adaptive cruise control is one of the most useless features ever invented. Have had 4 wheel drive trucks for 40 years and hope to God I never own another. Headlight dimmer switch should be in the floor where it belongs. I like a lot of new gadgets they have but those listed are useless to me.
Agree somewhat...adaptive cruise is a pain...I constantly find my vehicles going slower than I want because the clowns in front slow down slowly ...and so does mine and it isn't noticeable sometimes until you are more than 5 mph slower than what you set your cruise to!! I want it off! Dimmer on the floor was the greatest invention of the 60s.. our Caddys and Olds all had it...can't believe no one will bring it back...reason...too much for the switch probably. It was always to the left of your left foot - great place for it. But 4wd - need it on any car in the Northeast - I don't car what people say....front wheel drive on small cars and hybrids and rwd on BEVs is not as good as having 4 wheels driving in higher snow....period.
