Ordering was easy at msrp, who would have thought that the dealer would not be glad about that without a down payment. He said he could sell it easily if I didn't take it when it came in about May.
Got my confirmation and a followup message from Ford all was good then find out from this forum that it is. Just smoke up my bottom.
Ordered it in 2021 a base hybrid with few options that I now know had no constraints.
Found out from this forum that the dealer didn't put the order in correctly because he didn't want to get my signature so no my22 for me in vb. I sent them Tim's instructions about. How to properly put in the order...crikets.
who really thought getting an order for anything would mean that the customer is the problem in the transaction and had to research to be an expert to acquire a vehical.
Dealer has a lariat for $45k sitting on the lot fanning the flames.
Yes, Ford and its dealer are making this experience a nightmare in buying this great 1st year Maverick. I hope both do a better job in transparency my23...I know I've learned...customer beware.
I'm happy for those who have a Maverick. Thanks for sharing. It is a good truck and this forum is a good outlet for venting and learnig....keep on!
WOW, what a story! Sorry to hear that, but thanks this will help my resolve to be assertive in getting proof of proper order entry and follow-up. I'll be sure that I sign the order!

Ordered 8/21. Between order date and March '22, I stayed in contact with my salesman occasionally via texts and calls, even though he couldn't tell me much other than "hybrids are delayed."

In late March the dealer called to tell me it was "scheduled for production" with an early May build date. This was the week Ford supposedly stopped sending the scheduling emails but then I received it a week or two later. The build was pushed back twice (received emails from Ford both times) and the Maverick was eventually built on 6/1.

Truck was shipped on 6/3 (received emails from Ford when built and shipped). Salesman called on 6/20 to say the truck was already at a rail yard in my area. So just when I saw light at the end of the tunnel it sat there for 30 days before being delivered to my dealer on 7/20.

So 11 months in all. The worst part was the 7-month wait between ordering and getting scheduled for production, but my dealer seems to have done a better job than most with communication. Also, it helped to see that many in this forum were waiting as long or longer than me.

Ordered 6/28/21......Built 9/22/21......Received 10/14/21.... And here I was upset that it sat in Kansas City at the railyard for 1 WEEK before making its way to Lincoln. Mine was built in the 2nd week of production!

IMPORTANT! Be sure the dealer manager also signs the order and you get a copy.

I ordered my 2022 Maverick Hybrid on August 8, 2021. I called Ford Customer Service 3 weeks ago, and coincidence or not, they told me August 1 would be my production date and then I received the official email telling me that August 1 would be the production date. I can't click on the window sticker in the "Track my Vehicle Order" page, and there is no updates this week. What types of similar experiences have you guys had? This has been such a frustrating experience. I was going to cancel the order until I realized they're now selling them for $10K more than my contracted purchase price. This is just ridiculous waiting over a year for a vehicle.
Hey, another August order! Was supposed to get it October. No, wait, probably December. Haven't heard s>>t since, and do not really expect to. I ordered it loaded (2.0, Lariat, 4wd, tow package, special wheels) with the exception of the 1st year (did NOT want a sunroof) so the price was good (for Ford!). Did not make any difference. Fed up with Ford's excuses, and the guys who make excuses for Ford!

I had a very pleasant experience. Ordered on 11/15/21 for the build in my signature, received emails when there was an update in the process & everything was accurate. Received a few dealership calls peppered in just checking in on me & giving the same updates I was receiving from Ford. Day I received it at dealership was easy & chill with no surprises. It just took nearly 9 months but I was willing to wait knowing it was gonna be awhile.

Waited 10 long aggravated months and then it arrived. Dealer was supportive, and responsive. I ended up dropping mud flaps and got scheduled within 2 weeks later... Glad to Rokblokz better coverage -

Been loving it ever since. Hitting 29.x -30 mpg average, hand figured @ 800 miles and that's using sport mode a couple times. Rural / paved driving 40℅ city 10% highway 50% and its getting better every tank.

I want to order another :)

Cheers
