WOW, what a story! Sorry to hear that, but thanks this will help my resolve to be assertive in getting proof of proper order entry and follow-up. I'll be sure that I sign the order!Ordering was easy at msrp, who would have thought that the dealer would not be glad about that without a down payment. He said he could sell it easily if I didn't take it when it came in about May.
Got my confirmation and a followup message from Ford all was good then find out from this forum that it is. Just smoke up my bottom.
Ordered it in 2021 a base hybrid with few options that I now know had no constraints.
Found out from this forum that the dealer didn't put the order in correctly because he didn't want to get my signature so no my22 for me in vb. I sent them Tim's instructions about. How to properly put in the order...crikets.
who really thought getting an order for anything would mean that the customer is the problem in the transaction and had to research to be an expert to acquire a vehical.
Dealer has a lariat for $45k sitting on the lot fanning the flames.
Yes, Ford and its dealer are making this experience a nightmare in buying this great 1st year Maverick. I hope both do a better job in transparency my23...I know I've learned...customer beware.
I'm happy for those who have a Maverick. Thanks for sharing. It is a good truck and this forum is a good outlet for venting and learnig....keep on!
