May 7 2024 New 2022-2024 Maverick - Rear Lamp Assemblies Do Not Fit Tightly Or Have A Large Gap To The Body

Some 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles may exhibit a condition where the rear lamp assemblies do not fit tightly or have a large gap to the body. Ford is aware of the concern and this condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and a solution for this condition is expected by 3th quarter of 2024. Replacement of the rear lamp assemblies and/or retaining grommets will not resolve this condition.

So hang tight. let's see what they figure out in a few months...

Thanks for info. I have this issue on my 2023 Maverick.

Poor quality retainers. Fixed mine with some $12 replacements. No issues almost 2 years later.

Old post, but I got these clips. I also just saw a post saying top and bottom clips are different part numbers. Does that matter?

I don't really remember, I think I use the same one on both.
