Please tell me that’s a ton of mud, dirty, clay, gravel and road grime and not any signs of rust!? Did this help or not with your tail lamp getting gunked up?

this is why people in eastern Canada undercoat their vehicles. Its sand...salt and everything else off the road. Drivers side is always worse because it gets the most salt/sand because usually just the middle of the roads melt. First day I owned it I got the dealer to deliver... it was a bit warmer that day. -3 or so... but the roads covered my new vehicle lol. Plan on getting it undercoated but this year is a bust. will clean it all off this summer and get it done in the fall.

FriarPop is correct. The area behind the light is wide open to any potential road debris getting in. You might just have to seat the taillight correctly. Mine came fully loose but I was able to get them to seat and seal just by applying a quick hit with the palm of my hand to seat the two alignment studs on the taillight.

Same for the gaps in the front headlights. I hit some sort of large insect and it lodged between the fender and headlight. I had to use a toothpick to get it out.
