It appears the wires for the tail lights got loose and the protective sleeve melted by the exhaust. Anyone else had this happen?

Going to set up a repair appointment soon to have them cover this under the warranty.

is that the wire for the trailer hook up? of all the photos of this area it's the first with a dangling cable.

And it doesn't look like any wires were damaged, just the cover. Definitely odd. I guess that's a good thing at least.

The good news: it's highly unlikely that's for the tail lights.

The bad news: the wrap for the tail lights is much more...elementary (cheap)...than this. I admit I've only looked at the wrap on the end towards the lights when I changed mine out, so maybe I'm wrong.

Did you secure it out of the way? If the wires are good, a little electrical tape and secure it back where it belongs then all should be okay.
