Tailgate Vinyl Letters -- how to prep area?

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question but if it’s not I’m sure the moderators will move it.
Any one who recently installed the tailgate accent MAVERICK letters what did you use to prep the area. No instructions were included in the box.

I did Windex then did rubbing alcohol.

same reply as the guys above. Just use alcohol and wipe off. I used soapy water (like with window tint) to put them on and move into correct position. Then squeegee the water off and let dry till permanent. Several threads on this forum about it.

Thanks I searched the forum but did not find any posts on instructions to install the letters

Yes same as above 1 Alcohol Wipe Down . 2 Soap and Water so you can move it around . 3 Do it in the Shade unit it's Dry Then move to the Sun to bake on

Damp cloth, let it dry, then rubbing alcohol, then letters
